wait, hang on a minute.
how the hell can you say that owen did a mcmanaman? owen always claimed he wouldn't leave on a bosman and he hasn't. he has also taken a pay cut to go to the most successful club in european history. it's called personal ambition. in this case his ambition is to try and force his way into the madrid first team.
at least owen gave his all for the club, despite being in a negative team. to compare him to mcmanaman, who decided to go on a bosman and played out his last season at walking pace is laughable.
Aint no St michael,
He hasn't technically done a Mcmanaman, however in todays market, to sell owen fior 8 million is...........ludicrous, if he had gone at the end of last season ie. pre Euro 2004, we would have definetely got at least 15 million to 20 million, however because this deal has 'happened' at the 11th hour, LFC were having to drop their trousers and be positvely butt fcuked!!!
