tell that to Arsenal

Arsenal are successful and plays an attractive flowing football. Although they do not have an English core, none of their fans are complaining.

Wenger has the uncanny ability to buy players on the cheap and turn them into world-calss gems.

I hope we can tighten our defense and pass forward much better. I'd be happy if we can achieve this in this season and become genuine contenders from next season onwards. With or without Owen.

On that note, thank you, Michael Owen, for your loyal services to Liverpool.

Good tribute LFC.
Nice thought pity not everyone seems to have the same sentiments.
MO will always be a part of Liverpool FC.
Wish him all the best if he goes.

LFC stop being so nice! and that wasnt your 1000th post u liar, you have 1061 posts!

Yes MIchael was a good servant, but at the end of the day, He did a 'Steve McManaman" and slapped the Fans in the face, going for glory and greed.

Instead of Signing his contract like Stevie G (who didnt have to!) and committing himself to the club, he decided to flee.
He also never gave Benitez a chance to turn things around, whih I thought was selfish.

He scored over 200 goals for LFC , but what did they actually win the club? Liverpool have been off the pace for a long time.
Ok they won the odd FA cup, but the Ueafa cup win is like winning the worthington cup in my book.

I feel he will fall flat on his face at Madrid, as I doubt he will get in ahead of Raul (hes the captain!) Ronaldo (better player and more classy), Moreientes (on fire right now!) so I hope he likes to sit on the bench for long periods, and he'll realise just what a BIG mistake he has made.

He should be treated like Mcmanama, if he comes back to Anfield, BOOED off! . Its not like when fowler left, and he got pushed out by Houllier and Tommo, im sure he wanted to stay.

all ive got to say to Michael is

Seeya!

:D  :D

His recent conduct has been poor but i'll remember Michael Owen for the good memorys.  :) He was a fantastic player for us and should always be remembered for the goals in Cardiff, and everythiing else he did for us. As to the fee remember the Kewell saga, it works both ways.   :(

wait, hang on a minute.

how the hell can you say that owen did a mcmanaman? owen always claimed he wouldn't leave on a bosman and he hasn't. he has also taken a pay cut to go to the most successful club in european history. it's called personal ambition. in this case his ambition is to try and force his way into the madrid first team.

at least owen gave his all for the club, despite being in a negative team. to compare him to mcmanaman, who decided to go on a bosman and played out his last season at walking pace is laughable.
