I forgot to mention the Mancs have supposedly offered a £10million package for Ramsey as opposed to our £3million bid.

Juve line up £12 million Liverpool ace
Juventus are planning a £12 million summer bid for Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso. (Daily Telegraph)
Alonso has been linked with several exits from Anfield in recent months after he lost his place in Rafa Benitez' side to Javier Mascherano.
Juve spent £8 million on former Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko during last January's transfer window. The Serie A giants are believed to be very keen on bringing the 26-year old Spaniard to the Delle Alpi.
I don't really know what to make of Alonso's season this year. The last few seasons since joining Liverpool he was a key part of the team however in recent months he has played a slightly lesser part. £12 million for Alonso, may be good value for money.

I would have thought a bid would have to be nearer £15m rather than £12m to make Rafa think about it.

Not sure that 15 mill will be enough Saint. Not to buy Alonso, I mean enough to not get you slaughtered for undervaluing him

Looks like he's lining up a list of second rateas usual.......
Juve splash 12 on Alonso plus Momo = 20 million - just to Liverpool and they were demoted and must have seen their revenues plummet in the last 2 years.
How come every tw@tting team has money to spend except us? If it wasnt so perversely stupid it would be funny.

Dude, chill out! Have you ever considered that this is just the smokescreen, so other clubs don't rip us off. After buying Torres last yr, everyone will be expecting us to spend ridiculous amount of cash on players like Real and Man U do. I really don't think we are poor, this is just the way our club is choosing to conduct it's business.
