Just don't rate him, and I doubt he'd be cheap either.

I have to admit I haven't seen much of him to be honest. But from what I have heard from others- he's very defensive, but does not attack much.

Now if we're gonna sign Barry for the LM role and not buy a left winger... I think we definately need an attacking LB who likes to get down the wings and whip in the odd cross to support Barry and create more of a problem for the opposing right back

Udinese had representatives on Merseyside last week for talks with Liverpool over the duo, who have been outstanding in this season’s Serie A.

Inler, a midfielder, and wing-back Dossena are expected to be cashed in by Udinese this summer.

I thought that when I wrote it. Some on here seem to be dreaming of £25million. If we get £25million for Alonso, Rick Parry deserves a knighthood not the sack

Alonso costed more than 12M, considering Liverpool had to pay several bonus sums because variables like reaching CL final.

Real Sociedad were a club that desperately needed to sell due to financial troubles, Alonso was nobody in England back then.

So excuse me, but if Parry gets less than the 12M Real Sociedad got for a player who's 26, stablished international and LIVERPOOL player, then IMHO Parry is the definition of incompetent.

You have to be desperate to find tempting 12M for a player like Alonso. And you are not desperate to sell Alonso, are you?

In all seriousness S@int, I do hope that if we sell Alonso it actually means a good deal for us, a key one. Other than that we'd rather keep his quality.

I do agree that unless its to make a signing of a top quality player such as a swop deal for Aguero or a top class winger....... I wouldn't want him to go just for the money.

Not sure I understand the question/sentence, Joe :blush:

Last summer he had his contract renewed, and actually it doesn't make much of a difference when you have 4 or 5 remaining years.

Anyway, I post here today because I'm livid. FFS, I read from decent sources that fúcking Tottenham are negotiating with Barcelona for Etoo, and that Real Madrid are about to present an offer for Villa.

Where's the DoogyBoogy Hicks? Rafa needs backing, and Liverpool should be moving after these kind of names, not fúcking Tottenham.

I've changed my opinion of Eto'o over the last year or so, don't want him here. His attitude is poor and the more I see him play and hear his comments the more I think he plays for himself and not the team. I don't think Rafa will go in for him. Eto'o has had two chances to join us before and didn't sign - once when Houllier tried to get him and once the summer that Owen went to Madrid. He obviously doesn't fancy coming here either.

But John, Etoo talks his mind but also talks in the pitch. I mean he doesn't hesitate to say what most footballers think but do not say because being polite. But then the real talk is done in the pitch, and despite I haven't seen much of him this particular season, I have never seen Etoo not running, not pressing, and not giving everything.

Yes, if you give him a micro he's a fúcking danger, but he speaks properly in the pitch. Barcelona's crisis is not because of him.
