I heard that Samuel Eto'o is transfer listed. I was told it was reported in Don Balón (a spanish weekly sports magazine). Maybe some of spanish guys can confirm this. Me personally would love to see Eto'o here.

12million Liverpool target told he can leave

Gareth Barry, a reported target of Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez, has been told he can leave Aston Villa if he sees his future elsewhere.

Club general Charles Krulak urged the England international to stay at Villa Park but said he would not stand in his way if he decided to leave.

These words may be encouraging to Benitez who was last week reported to have included Barry on a five-name wishlist of summer transfer targets. The 27-year-old has also attracted interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.

Krulak said:

"Obviously, we are keen to keep our captain - and we will do all in our power to keep him. But at the same time, he plays a huge part in this equation.

"At the end of the day, he needs to want to stay. The very worst thing we could do would be to try and hold onto a player who wants to leave.

"I hope that we can show him that his future is, in fact, at Aston Villa. We will work hard to do just that."

Will Barry choose to swap the Midlands for Merseyside? I think he just might.

At 27 his days certainly aren't numbered, but he may fancy a new challenge before it is too late. And the lure of a playing for a side regularly competing in the Champions League and the top four of the Premier League may prove strong enough for him to relinquish his role as Villa captain.

Furthermore, he's still very much on fringes of the England first XI and a move to a bigger club would almost certainly impress upon Fabio Capello.

Peter Crouch is getting more first team action as the season draws to an end but of course this is only so Rafa can rest his star players before Champions League action. It does look like the giant striker is heading for the exit, but should Benitez try to keep the England man at Anfield?

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has been given the green light to make a £7m summer swoop for Liverpool striker Peter Crouch. (Sunday Express)

Three goals in his last three Premier League outings shows that Crouchy is a damn good player and I can see why lots of clubs are eager to purchase the 27 year old but do Liverpool fans think he should be persuaded to stay at the club?

£5m superstar nearing Liverpool move: well worth the money!

April 27, 2008

Ricardo Quaresma, yes, him again! Apparently this much referenced rumour is gathering momentum.

Ricardo Quaresma the Portuguese playmaker has once again been linked with a move to Liverpool in both Spanish and Portuguese newspapers today and could be available for as little as £5m as Porto are in danger of being dealt with severely for alleged match fixing (various)

Whilst it appears that many really rate the 24 year old attacker the sums that were banded about (in the 20-25 bracket) seems excessive, now with the valuation far lower it seems like a good deal. What do Liverpool fans think about Ricardo Q?

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger looks set to join the battle to sign Aston Villa skipper Gareth Barry.

The People are reporting that Wenger is on the lookout for potential replacements for Mathieu Flamini and believes that England ace Barry is top of his list.

Liverpool and Chelsea have both already been linked with the star and any move would require a fee of at least £15 million to land the player.

Liverpool keen on £10m Premier League defender: He’s been fantastic this season

April 28, 2008

It appears that many Man City players are potentially on their way out of Eastlands with the latest target being their outstanding centre back.

£10m rated Manchester City defender Richard Dunne has emerged as a summer transfer target for Newcastle as Kevin Keegan seeks to strengthen his backline. Rafa Benitez is also said to be a fan of the Irishman and could bid for the 28 year old (various)

Do Liverpool any more additions in the defensive area? After the capture of the excellent Martin Skrtel in January maybe it is not necessary to add more centre backs to the club, especially with Sami Hyypia getting a new contract. Do City fear that their manager may get sacked by Thaksin?

Degen won't be coming. He's said that there haven't been any talks with him.
Typical press, misleading us again. Actually we're even being reported to be interested in Richard Dunne!! Ha.

Silva looks like it could happen but Valencia are really hard to deal with. Look at the Torres deal, it took forever to complete and we ended up paying them for every goal he scored. But if they are in trouble financially then we'll have the upper hand.
Spurs are supposed to be in a deal for just 16mil for Villa. If he's that price then we should take him.

TRANSFER RUMOURS

Liverpool could capture Brazil winger Amanatino Mancini for a cut-price £4m as he looks set to buy out the last year of his contract at Roma. (Mirror)

Tottenham have begun talks with Valencia over £16m-rated striker David Villa, who they see as a perfect replacement for Dimitar Berbatov. Spurs also want to sign Sevilla winger Diego Capel. (Daily Mail)

from the Beeb.

Mancini looks good. W were after him last year too if I remember correctly.

I think Rafa will surprise us again this year. He likes to play his cards close to his chest. Remember Babel? We were never linked with him and it surprised eveyone when it was announced.

Lucho Hopes Of Atletico Move Depend On Liverpool

Porto star Lucho Gonzalez is waiting to see if Liverpool sign Maxi Rodriguez from Atletico Madrid so that he could replace his compatriot at El Vicente Calderon.

The 27-year-old Argentina international has however, revealed that there has been no offer to him, but he has reacted to press reports.

“Nobody has contacted me, I have just read it in the papers and the web,” Gonzalez told Argentinian radio station FM 101.1.

“At Atleti it can depend on Maxi Rodriguez going to Liverpool or not.

“Besides manager Javier Aguirre is not sure he will stay next season.

“But still they have not contacted me.

“They are a great club. A move there would be welcomed. We have to wait and see what is going to happen.”

Liverpool set to snap up £4m bargain Mancini

Liverpool target Amantino Mancini could move to Anfield for a cut-price £4million this summer.

The Brazilian winger is set to turn down a new deal at Roma - and could buy out the remaining year of his contract under new FIFA rules.

Roma would then be owed £4m in compensation but that would be a big loss for a player valued at about £10m.

Reds boss Rafael Benitez saw a bid for Mancini, 27, rebuffed by Roma last summer but he is likely to have more luck this time.

"I am coming out of an unlucky spell and I need to feel important again," Mancini told the Mirror. "I won't speak about my contract until the end of the season."

There is also increasing optimism at Anfield that the chance of playing Champions League football next season will be the key to luring Gareth Barry to Merseyside from Aston Villa in the summer.

In addition, Barry is desperate to become an England regular and knows that playing alongside Steven Gerrard would be a major boost to his international ambitions.

these players are more like it, I know they are just 5% chance rumor type things, but its just eases my stress and lets me dream a little more if we are being linked with players like Maxi Rodriguez, Mancini, Silva, and Quaresma. Glad to see there are at least some counter rumors to the Degen deal.

Can I just insert laughter here at the figure of £10m quoted for Richard Dunne?

He's been great for Man City this season, but that's a ridiculous figure for a guy that was decidedly average until Sven got hold of him.

(EDIT: What a shocker - the source is the f*cking Sun)

I do not if Liverpool is negotiating with Valencia yet What is confirmed is that Villa and silva a leaving Valencia next season according to reports in Valencia.
