4-5-1 for me or 4-2-3-1 if you prefer, this is one of those games were one goal can easily settle it.

Yes and as long as we get on the score sheet we can almost afford to lose one.
1-1 and we win on pens or 2-1 us i say, either way nervy as fook.

I say soccer when I talk to Americans
I say football when I talk to everyone else

I think that's fair enough.

If we aren't in it, then the audience will be sent into a coma of boredom as Barcelona slowly pass the ball around and......do nothing, Chelsea send environmentalists into hysteria by bringing so many plastic flags to Moscow, and the commentators remind the viewers 380 times that Man U won the European Cup in 1999....and probably mention 1966 too.

We may have only scored one in the 1st leg, but we had plenty of chances to add to that goal. So why change it? Based on form against FULHAM and BRUM?!?!

As for who TV companies want in the final, I don't think they'll care. Man Utd vs Chelsea/Liverpool will be tense and no doubt boring, they would probably have wanted Barcelona vs Man Utd, but the two biggest teams they can squeeze into the final are Barcelona vs Liverpool. Seven European Cups between them, would have FOUR final appearances between them in the last four seasons, and I think they will simply fear a dull, boring all-English final. It may be what a number of English fans want, but I'm sure there are plenty of anti-English out there that would want to cheer on whoever the English club is playing

We need to put pressure on them from the start and dont let up. Hopefully if Lampard plays he will be off the pace (i know its not a nice thing to say but its true).

I assume Chavski will come out very aggressive with Carvalho, Essien, Ferreira etc.. biting ankles all over the park to disrupt out pattern. Its laso a tactic that has worked against us in the big games of late against ManUtd, Arsenal and Chelsea so when the pressure is on us to score, how do we handle that?

A more conservative 4-4-2 and get physical to gain the upper hand or leave Torres exposed up front, or play a wider midfield trying to dominate through numbers?

We have to absorb their active start, reverse it and dominate. No easy task.

dont be surprised that rafa plays stevie gerrard in the hole behind torres.

the focus would be on gerrard by chelsea to stem the supply, thus allowing torres the space to be utilised for his fast pace and skill to knock the ball in the back of the onion bag. Better still that stevie would be able to pass freely to our wide men to provide simple crosses along the box behind their defence.

this formation would allow us to step up and also catch chelsea offside. a bit risky some may say, but technically brilliant for attacking football. Chelsea do suffer when the pressure is on. thats what i think anyway

so 4-4-1-1 would be my ideal formation against chelsea

Judge, mate, Gerrard's been playing in the hole behind Torres since mid-February, when we switched to this 4-2-3-1 system. :D

Dunno but just feel its asking a lot of Torres to be up there alone against a top side.
