I don't believe that Moores had "no idea" what to expect from Hicks and Gillet, as Aston Villa seemed to know all about them. I can't believe that the financial advisors that Moores and Parry must have employed didn't advise them of their reputations.
I think they just closed their eyes and crossed their fingers hoping for the best........ unfortunately they have found out since that Hicks and Gillet are even worse than they thought.
