A hilarious story has begun circulating, leaving egg all over the face of Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon.

The Guardian reported: “A prankster pretending to be Oscar-winning American actor Nicolas Cage fooled Real Madrid into thinking he was the real thing and enjoyed red carpet treatment at this week’s Champions League match against AS Roma.

The lookalike, Italian television presenter Paolo Calabresi, watched Wednesday’s game from the directors’ viewing area at the Bernabeu and was taken into the team dressing room afterwards, Spanish sports daily Marca reported on Saturday.

He was even photographed being presented with a personalised Real shirt by club president Ramon Calderon.

Calabresi organised the stunt by using the name of an agency in the United States that had recently arranged a similar meeting at the Bernabeu for another actor, Sylvester Stallone.”

Barca lose at home to Villarreal and are now 8 points behind Real again. It seems they are taking turns choking at the moment, and now it suddenly looks as if Real are running away with the title again. Barca sure are missing the genius that is Messi.

It was another example tonight of Barca lacking any direction without Messi and the coach (Rikjaard) not knowing what the answer is. I shuddered at the comments on here a few weeks back when names were being bandied about for alternatives to Rafa and Rikjaard was put forward. He's had good success at Barca but in all honesty who wouldn't with THAT squad??

Oh right, Rikjaard going by recent results.

Surely, Real Madrid will win the Liga. They aren't playing well but win thanks to Casillas and their remarkable effectiveness.

Meanwhile, Barça are doing the ridiculous. Messi and Eto'o always are injured, Henry isn't in the good form and Ronaldinho is thinking more in sex than to play. Rijkaard is a patetic coach, he's lost and the next year, probably, won't train in Barcelona :Oo:

I agree too. Schuster is doing a better job with a far worse squad. Far worse especially in quality depth.

Unbelievable game Betis-Barca, two cracking goals in two min's and Betis are 3-2 up.

This game could go some way in defining the eventual winner of the league.

TBH watching the Barca game tonight Rikjaard looked like a manager ready to wave the white flag in the championship battle and the battle to save his job. From what I've heard via Revista de la liga on $ky and through the internet there is very little apart from winning the league and/or Champions league to save his job; even that may not be enough.
Tonight Barca had an excellent 1st half but then in the 2nd half Betis came back at them and instead of getting on the touchline and instructing the team in countering the threat he just sat there. Betis scored their 1st goal, he just sat there, Betis got a penalty, he just sat there, Betis missed the penalty, he just sat there, Betis scored a second within minutes of the penalty and still he just sat there. Moments later Betis got a third and take a wild guess what Rikjaard was doing....
you guessed it, he just sat there! That to me doesn't sound like the actions of a manager who is trying to win the league.

Madrid have handed the chasing pack a couple of opportunities to close in over the past couple of months and Barcelona in particular have been guilty of spurning those chances. Should Madrid take three points tomorrow then that will be Barcelona out of the title race for me.
