England announcing their squad at 1pm today. Gerrard expected to be captain. Johnson and Carroll expected to be in. Unsure on Downing. There were even rumours of Joe Cole being brought back :oh:

Anyway may aswell use this thread for all squad/game discussion. Can't see beyond Germany/Holland/Spain myself. Wouldn't surprise me if England didn't get out of the group.

ssn are reporting that rio is not included in the squad.
proper order anyway as he has been cack for a season or 2 now but cant help wondering if it has anything to do with terry.

I'm not entirely sure how Downing has gotten in there, but he has and hopefully he gets some much needed confidence from Euro 2012.

Again I am not entirely why Hodgson has gone with an old relic like Frank Lampard, but I guess Frank will pop up with one goal or two.

Wasn't Gerrard going to have an op or something? If he's captain, he'll feature in most of the games. He deserves it but that's not good for us.

Could be a good thing both Downing and Carroll in the squad. Cant see why hendo hasnt got a look in much better than ***** Frank Lampard

Holland at 7s isn't a bad shout. Depends on RVP showing up

He'll be only third choice anyway, so he probably won't even make it to the bench.
