Lionel Messi has just equalled Gerd Mullers record of 85 goals in a single calendar year.

I'll just repeat that for you

85 Goals in just 344 days and he still has 3 games to play this year.

Ladies and Gentlemen, a true great!!

Ronaldo is very very angry because of the sale of Mesut Ozil to The Arsew!pes. He said "Mesut knew all my moves in from of goal"  Ooo a missus.... :D

Is anyone getting as p!ssed off as me about all this Bale hype, the media are falling about themselves to promote him as some sort of footballing god. Saw an interview with him talking about always following RM, when he went to Spain as a kid they always got RM shirts and played in them at home pretending to be RM great, what a load of shyte. Its getting embarassing now, could you imagine another nations TV company making a programme about one of their exports to the EPL 'living the dream'. I think this just goes to show what a poor condition British football is in as our home grown player are rarely wanted by foreign clubs.

In fairness he is a massive talent and the over inflated price tag was always going to attract a lot of hype.

He scored on his debut which is going to do wonders for him. I hope he does well because it will be good to see someone over shadow Ronaldo and put him firmly in his place as a flat track bully.

But the overhyping of the media is way over the top - BT Sports have been showing a half hour program about him every single day !

He's the most expensive footballer ever and he happens to be British. What other reason do you want?

I hear your mate but look on the bright while the media have a wankfest and destroy a rainforest over Bale, the spotlight disappears off Suarez which can only be a good thing

Agreed. He's on fire currently. I've obviously underestimated his ability.

I don't really want RM to falter as they may be in for Suarez in Jan if things don't improve
