Nanny with the olympics being in Bejing this year, it's going to tire them out even more with all the travelling. We're not alone though, most teams will lose one or two players. Ronaldo will be lost for United if Portugal qualify (i don't know who has and who hasn't because I don't take much notice of olympic football because Britain don't compete in it) but it's not just us who will be losing players. If Lucas has gone for Brazil, then I assume Anderson (united) and Denilison (arsenal) will be going as well.

So I think it's like the African Nations, it's one of those things you have to deal with. That competition didn't hit us as badly as other sides, so it's just evening itself up.

I would certainly be surprised if Benitez allowed Alonso to leave now though in the summer. With Mascheranho and Lucas both jetting off to asia, Alonso is going to be our only other first team central midfielder, so I can't see him leaving in the summer. Which is one reason to be happy for the olympics. I honestly thought Xabi would of been off in the summer, but with two out of the four being away for some time at the start of the season then we're really going to need Alonso and Gerrard to do the buisness.

Is Babel going or do the dutch not take part in it?
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

I forgot about Babel  Yes the Dutch do take part aswell .

We have to look at all our players under 23 years old who could be going most of the counrtys havnt announced there squads yet but how old is that Skrtel and Agger.

I know they are allowed 3 players over 23 are this is gettin ridiculas can you imagine if Spain named Torres in there Olympic squad. Im sure though that a few of them wouldnt go though if they got the nod well i :censored: hope so

Lets hope the dutch take Kuyt but he doesn't come back :laugh

I know Aurellio has taken part in the past in the olympics.

Arbeloa maybe? Agger and Skrtel if their nations take part. Can't say I know many Slovakian Olympians though. What about some of the reserves like Nemeth and Simon will they go and represent Hungry?

Will Fabregas and Flamini be going from Arsenal. If they do (with Denilison) they won't have a reconised central midfielder because I think Gilberto will be off in the summer. So it'd be Rosicky and Hleb in the middle. United could lose Tevez, Nani, Ronaldo and Anderson. Chelsea will probably be the one of the most untouched sides. Their players are mainly to old for an under-23 tournament.

I  do not blame macherano at all to be honest. If I would do, I would be betraying an entire nation and culture, idiosyncrasy  and approaching towards every single collective Sport practice that I really admire, a very rare talent and character that barely can  be learnt far from Argentina . I think is an excellent player and I hope him to behave as he did so far for benefit of Liverpool Fc and a type o approaching in football and sport in general as well as many people´s taste in football all over the world. I hope he carry on behaving as what he is ,a “canchero”  (do not confuse this term with “dirty player” as too many times has been translated into English language).
Ánimo canchero!
