Quarter final and semi final - Draw

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

The ONLY thing that bothers me is that we're playing them three times in a week, it adds a real edge to it...other than that I think this is a decent draw for us, I think with Rafa's knowledge and expertise in Europe we have to be a favourites in a home/away two legger......it's just that game in teh middle that might confuse things.
Playing Chelsea in the last four is more of a worry for me, will be very very tight indeed....after that though we'll beat anyone in the final!

Im not too concerned about the league game in the middle.

We are bound to play a weakend team - we'll just have to write that game off.

To be honest I thought Gattuso would eat Fabregas alive but the fact is he didn't get near him over the two legs against Milan, especially at the San Siro.

Obviously Mascherano is a better player than Gattuso and if anybody can stop Cesc from playing and dictating the game then it is he.

Flamini will probably be the one to track Gerrard and I think Mathieu is a fantastic player, and is now a vital part of Arsenal's team.

while they sweat over the aerial threat torres scores a hatrick...although we do need a runner to keep em busy and push em back instead of allow them to get into their passing thing..oh well i guess its kuyt.

you meen you would drop the formation that has won us 5 on the trot just to put crouch back in the team omg you should become rafas new assisent.  ???

agree mate the formation rafa has stumbled upon has got to be how we go forward for the rest of the season and next.

Teams will be dreading playing a liverpool team where stevie has the freedom to get involved where ever he wants. And with Torres (possibly the god) they would love to see us change shape.

don't think rafa will change formation as i see him using this for now and next season. Rafa liked this formation when he managed in spain and he's not tried it that ,uch here because of the personal at his disposal. can see a big purchase for a right winger in the summer and we'll be a force

Not like a gooner to get delusions or grandeur hey!! :D

Well when you put 6 past us at home with some of their reserve players I think that entitles you to be a bit chuffed.

Which means we owe them!!!

Just heard Coco the clown on the wireless and he couldn't have sounded more defeatist if he'd tried. Ok it's not really the draw we would've wanted but we have to believe we do them, it is the champions league after all, we're a different prospect from the league when it comes to that comp.

VIVA LIVERPOOL!!!!  :buttrock

Try to play them at there own game, which is passing and moving, and they will tear us and any other team to shreds.

i agree we need to press them but we need to be a threat also. at their place they will try to swarm us thus keeping us away from their goal. we need to give em something to think about. a 2-2 draw at their place would be very welcomed.

OMG the draw was leaked! that guy in the forum posted the exact draw hours before...and they were saying bookies wouldn't accept bets on the draw... and now their forum is down because of too many connections...

UEFA got some explaining to do! hope they re-draw again...

I would'nt be surprise if it was rigged, there's so much money involved in this.

Yeah, Flamini is a good player, but I can see him getting lost in the middle of the park while Masheano handles Fabregas.

Well, Atleast, that is what I am hoping for.

I think 4-3-2-1 is the perfect formation to play vs Arsenala nd it will suit us at the Emirates.
