What's so bad about the time for kick off? 12:30 is reasonable isn't it? It just means getting up at 4am if you live in Liverpool and the surrounding areas.

the days are right but the kick off times are the wrong way round. why have spurs and chelsea as a late kick off when wembley's just round the corner for most of their fans? the fans will just be out all day getting drunk. it makes no sense.

then again nothing the FA does ever makes sense.

Why are you all upset?

Surely you know that football is no longer the game for the working class?  It is a Global corporate event, where the wants of the paying public hold no interest to the money men who run the game.

12:30 on a Saturday afternoon is prime time TV time.  They are the people who matter.

Get used to it and stop complaining or go and watch Rugby, still played by men who are not millionaires and watched by mere mortals who work for a living!!!

Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

speaking of the telly - is it on terrestrial TV? Says ESPN on the offal  ???
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

i think the idea is to have all the footy fans who are travelling to wembley out of the city before the big grand national crowds start to congregate.
i think the council wanted to avoid 100,000 fans going one way through liverpool and 100,000 race goers going the other at the same time.

I don't like the decision either but it was a police decision according to Henry Winter from the Guardian. No reason not to believe him.
