Watched that BABEL (not Ryan  :D ) last night with Mr Angelina Jolie in it.
There's about four different story lines running in it and it jumps from one to the other. It ain't a bad movie but when you finally get to the end and see how they're all connected you get that WTF was that about feeling.

Not a bad flick but deffo one that you have to be well awake for and concentrating hard on to get the maximum out of.

6/10 for me.

There's not a lot of films that are new that are worth even downloading, is there?

Looking forward to Romero's new one Dairy Of The Dead. Although I'm not sold on the whole Blair Witch angle it's being pitched at. There's just something about modern day American students with camera's that get on my nerves. I'm hoping their acting won't ruin this. One of the things that made Cloverfield (Dairy was in production before this BTW) so annoying to watch was the person behind the camera just constantly talking :censored: with unrealistic cheesy one liners.

Trailer.

If you haven't seen them ,No Country for Old Men and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, are well worth the download.

Deffo no messin' about in the new Rambo movie , if you like blood and bullets with minimal coversation this is the one for you.

Interestingly Sly seems to be trying to get a message to the American people

i.e. don't matter whether your spreadin' bullets or the bible , ultimately you'll do more good just stayin' at home :D .

Day of the Dead

No, not the excellent 1985 original classic, but the 2008 remake.

Now, firstly, to even say this is a remake is just an embarrassing insult to Romero's original script, which was often sharp and sometimes funny. This film is simply atrocious. It bears no hallmarks to the original whatsoever, save for the fact that it shares the same name and some of the character names such as Cpt. Rhodes (Ving Rhames).

Honestly, the way this film was shot smacks of cheap straight to independent cable channel's, such as Zone Horror, films that are just churned out by the number. Honestly, it's so amateur it's laughable. What's even more laughable is the zombies don't behave like your typical stiff. One would think that once you become dead that rigor mortis sets in and you become a "stiff" so to speak. Hence the shambling zombies in Romero's originals. Not these b@stards. Oh, no. Some a$$hole had the bright idea of thinking it would be better to have them as some sort of super fit athlete that  can run faster than Carl Lewis, scale walls, and jump like a spider monkey at will once they get in range. One even climbed up a wall and latched himself to a ceiling and scurried along it. Yep. Spider monkey zombies. They'll get you every time. They must have been doing crack up their a$$es or something when they came up with ideas for this film.

I subsequently turned it off. I couldn't take no more. It was shockingly bad. Avoid!

Seen Juno last night and it is suppose to be this years Little Miss Sunshine. Basically its about a 16 year old kid who falls pregnant and gives the baby up to a couple who cant have children. Of course there is a few blips across the way.

A decent enough show with the main lead superbly acted by Ellen Page who is one to look out for in the future.

6/10

I watched a very good movie last night starring Russell Crowe and Christian Bale, '3 10 to Yuma' .

Its a western, but alot better than most of your westerns these days, had me entertained right from the begining. It has quite a good story behind it too and is definately worth a download.

8/10

Saint I think you'll like this, Woof your to hard to please but I'd recomend this. :D

That Christian Bale is a good actor and he was in a film a hile back called the 'Machinest' that was also a good movie df\efinately worth hiring that one.

i wacthed American Ninja again last night. possibly the funniest and coolest film ever made!!!

Joe Armstrong (played geniusly by Michael Dudikoff) plays a new army recruit, who also happens to be a ninja. Lucky when the island he is stationed on is run by ninjas as well.

There are some class pieces in it where he manages to kill every ninja on the island.

11 out of 10!!!
