Watched Will Smith's I am a Legend today

The old footbally cliche a movie of two halves comes to mind for this one.

Loved first half of this with a great build up but for me the second half fell flat.

Also not a big fan of CGI and that didnt help the situation

Run Fat Boy Run - I've had more laughs with a box of xmas crackers, very disappointing .  :( , 4/10

By comparison another comedy the light hearted "Fools Gold" had far more going for it in terms of cast, laughs and some good stunts. 6/10

Vantage Point -  US presidential assassination whilst he's at a summit in spain . Bones of the movie is the assassination replayed as we see it from the perspective of various individuals, in the process we discover who the real culprit is. Pretty good action thriller with strong cast. 7/10

I enjoyed Vantage point but after the 3rd replay of events it began to irritate a bit,I thought the ending was too contrived as well. How many bullets did he fire without reloading lol. 6/10 for an interesting twist but not a great action film by any means.

I agree Laza, very good film, probably the best I've seen so far this year.

I must be one of the few that didn't rate this one.  I felt very cheated when a certain main character's ticket got punched off screen and we only got to see the aftermath.  And, while Anton started out as a psychopathic bada.ss, he got boring for me very quickly.  What exactly motivates this guy?  Who does he "work" for?  Why isn't there a massive manhunt out looking for him with press in tow given the swath of destruction he carves?  And why the feck would he wear his hair like that? :D

Just watched one half of Grindhouse, the Rodriguez/Tarantino homage to old B-grades movies.

Planet Terror, well you either love it or hate it and i thought it was great

Plus  Rose Mcgowan looks hot on one leg  :)

Saw 88 Minutes the other night and thought it was poor.  Too much Pacino scenery chewing and very little coherent story telling.  It was supposed to be a taut thriller but it was just silly most of the time.

Saw 21 and Bank Job recently as well.  Neither were stellar but both were enjoyable in their own way.  It's been pretty slim pickings of late on the big screen, though. :no

Bit late for review Bob, just downloaded 88 minutes this arvo :)

Pacino seems to be walking through a lot of these forgottable thrillers these days.

Anyone know what the film is called where there is a girl in an apartment and the phone goes.

When she picks the phone up, there's a fella on the other end and he says he's going to kill her.

The twist is though - the fella is in the house already.

(It's not Scream by the way).

I think it was a Japanese film and it was done by the Americans into a no doubt s*i*e remake.  However, either will do, I just need the name of it for my Lovefilm subscription.

Cheers.

No mate.  That's indeed similar but not the film I had in mind.

That reminds me of Black Christmas, the old un, with all the girls in the house. Classic that film.

Forget that film John and download Teeth. Horror film about a woman with plenty of bite. She has ways of cutting men down to size.  :D

Just by the sounds of it, has it got anything to do with getting your b*ll*c*ks bitten off?

To be safe, I'm going to give it a miss Saint.  Can't watch anything like that.  I'm even talking that scene in There's Something About Mary.  First saw that when I was about 20 years old.  Eight years on and I love that film so much I can watch it any time willy-nilly ( :D ).

Except for the zipper scene.  Have to look away or even skip through it...
