The fee for Momo is rumoured to be 7 million, not a bad profit.

Momo in August when Juventus were sniffing round : “I believe that Liverpool are a much bigger club than Juventus and decided not to speak to them any longer.

“I'm a Liverpool player and I want to show to the people here, to everyone, that I'm already at a big club. I'm happy to be in Liverpool. I did want to stay despite the interest. That's why I signed a new contract.”

Now its changed to : “It’s just a question of a few days,”

“I have to confess that wearing the Juventus shirt would be the greatest thing. I have been a Bianconeri fan since I was a kid.

“I supported Juve because I was obsessed with Zinedine Zidane and if you loved Zidane, you loved Juve. I then became a fan of Alessandro Del Piero – he is a great player.”

Its a fickle old world is Football.

I don't blame him though, he isnt going to get the games at Liverpool with Mascherano ( who knows for how long), Lucas and Xabi ahead of him.

i can't say i'll miss momo much. I was very impressed with him for a period, he got stuck in, covered a lot of ground to free Gerard up, and was decent on the ball. More recently however, he's been so frustrating to watch, the amount of passes to the opposition from him were getting ridiculous.

With the slower pace of the Italian game he might be more suited and comfortable on the ball. Hope he manages to find some more form and best of luck to him in the future.

Javier Mascherano has confusingly insisted that he would "love" to stay at Liverpool but would "like" to leave for Juventus.

The Argentine midfielder looks likely to sign a pre-contract agreement with Juve to join the Serie A team in the summer after Liverpool failed to make a move.

The Reds' US owners will not sanction a £17m move for Mascherano, who has now admitted that he is flattered by interest from Juventus.

"I would love to stay here (in Liverpool). I have tried and I've adapted to the city very well," he told an Argentine radio station.

"But the clubs that are talking are also important and I would like to go."

Riise, Carson, Voronin, Kewell, Sissoko gone why cant the sale of these players or atleast these players off the wage bill pay for Masch?

I will be feckin livid if he leaves, you have to keep your world class players not get shut of them.

Its a joke it really is.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Its a shame, Javier has practically begged to stay at Liverpool, Im afraid we are a second tier club if we cant afford to spend 17 million on Mascherano, who is simply world class. (and any potential world class signing will see Liverpool as second tier and wont want to go there from now on) I think this situation is proof that we need rid of G + H as soon as possible. They will not invest a penny..ad wait til the stadium debt has them over a barrell.

There was something floating on the news wires earlier on saying that the sale of Sissoko squares up the finances of the Skrtel deal, and doesn't in fact mean we'll have a chunk of cash to make Mascha's deal permanent. :(

It's quite simple if the owners don't buy Masch then Rafa is leaving.
