When Crouch couldn't get a goal for love nor money, Rafa insisted on playing him. When he started scoring, Rafa drops him!!
Did anyone see Stevie's attitude today? Not exactly a captain's performance, was it? I think Rafa has lost the dressing room - the players don't like the type of football (boring) that they are being forced to play.
The Pro-Rafa's can talk all they want about 'what if we win the champions league? What will you say then?' Rafa can win the champions league all he wants - it doesn't change the fact that we play the most boring football I've ever seen.
Why do average teams come away from our games with a result? Because we're so one-dimensional, so see-through.
I get the impression that Rafa would be happy as a 'capper' if we one every game 1-0 with only one shot on goal. It wouldn't bother him in the slightest. Me? I want my favourite team to start playing attractive football again. With the players we got on the books, it's more than feasible. I don't think Rafa trusts his players, though.
His selection today, again, was all wrong from the off.
1. Arbeloa at left back - a player who has been all at sea every time he's played anywhere other than right back. He had a stinker, yes, but so would Torres if you put him in the nets.
2. Riise, left midfield. An average-at-best left-back playing in midfield. You've a better chance finding your baggage in Lockerbie than Riise creating a chance. The man can only run in a straight line.
3. Voronin.
4. Those subs - what shape, formation were we playing in the last 15 mins? Can someone tell me that?

We have to check out the competitors and see what they do right..
The constant "go support them then" repose is lame and childish.
Some just refuse to see and learn. They choose to to be an ostrish, just hide their face in the dirt and everything will be alright..

Is it personal? Something must be going on.

Erm, no! Childish? Wise up. I support one team, and one team only. For whatever United, Arsenal, or Chelsea or even Stoke do, I do not give a flying f*ck. They can win 20-nil for all I care. I only care about what we do and that's it. Besides, I seem to recall us playing some fantastic attacking stuff this season also. As good as any.

This is why i have no sympathy for rafa....
People here say i have it for rafa.....yes i do. Rafa doesn't put the club 1st when he picks voronin and kuyt before crouch.
He didn't put the club 1st when he picked morientes before cisse.
If vince mcmahon was a red fan, he would say....the yanks didn't screw rafa....rafa screwed rafa.

Gerrard, Alonso, Torres, Mascherano could all potentially want to exit after the manager that brought them there in the first place (apart from Gerrard). Certainly Torres hinted at it earlier in the season if Rafa were to be sacked. Benitez has brought in some world class players for us. Can we easily replace them if they were to go? Simple answer is no. IMO, sacking Rafa will set us back five years and potentially plunge is into a nightmare scenario of no champions league football for a few at least a few years or worse. It's taking time, but Rafa is slowly finding us the players we need to take us in the right direction towards not only winning the PL, but the CL also.
Rafa can not keep his job by holding a gun ot our heads by saying that if he leave then somwe players will go with him.
It will be down to the new owners and new manager to keep the players and they will.
If the spanish brigade leave with rafa....then they can fuk off....
Yeah...it would be hard to replace reina and torres...but this club is bigger.
The way i see it...rafa ain't as headhunted as he thinks he is...i can't see him going to real madrid. I mean they sacked capello for playing boring football. So why would they hire rafa...?
I think rafa might go back to valencia or even real socided...
rafa would last 1 season at r. madrid. They wouldnt accept the negative boring football where emphasis is on defence. players like robinho probably wouldnt get a game under rafa.
Hence why they made two approaches for him.
I dont dispute that. But capello won the league and was still given the boot. I think the same would happen to Rafa. Real Madrid have a tradition where the team has to play a certain way. Watching the side play like they have done this season its scary to think what rafa would do to that side.

They were so unconvinced by Rafa's style that they made two approaches for his services.
