Are u serious !!!!

We have a decent enough squad .... not the best but not great !!!

We are certainly not the worst footballing teams in the premiership :D :D

And r u still going on how a luton team who are playing football to stay alive and our second string team not preforming !!

do you understand what he meens by footballing he meens how we play not the results we are dire at best of times and get alot of goals from set pieces i say on footballing terms we are prob around about 8th in league.

Teams tha i say play better passing game then us and movement are

Mancs
Arsenal
spurs
aston villa
chavs ~(but not consistent)
luton (  :veryangry )
everton (  :veryangry  )
Even west ham

everton pains me say they look to play attacking attractive football most of time we look like we go out for a draw.

Good thing we've beaten all of them under Rafa then, eh?

not as many times as they have beaten us you dim :censored: you stupidness itlaughtable why dont you become a MP

Jacko you should post more often, that's a sensible insight (even for those who don't agree with it). Look it's worth bearing in mind here that we din't lose, and we will beat Luton in the replay. Many Premiership sides perished, and at least once we've sene this lot off we will be in the fourth round draw. By all accounts we din't play too well, and our bliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip is continuing, but at least we're not out. Ok we've got an extra game we didn't really need, but it's not in all honesty like we're challenging for the title and an extra game is going to kill us. Similarly, I guess the result kind of demonstrates that those who are of the opinion that Torres and Gerrard are our only matchwinners and without them we are an ordinary team, were probably correct in their assessment. But we knew that anyway, so I don't really see a need to jump up and down sideways about a well researched theory being proven correct.

Things are obviously not good at the moment, but everyone at the club just needs to keep going right now. As for it not being the managers fault, I'm not too sure about that one Lando but I wouldn't have expected anything less than you sticking to your guns. Probably this thread ought to be locked before too much longer.

Dif between rafa and wenger is hardly no one would say wenger is :censored: i wouldnt want him managing my club but i feel alot more would say that about rafa.

Well if you feel it, then it's either;

yes i know i will get stick for that.

Think yourself lucky you're not within striking distance.

How the f*ck was that Rafa's fault?

1/ HE PICKED THE TEAM

2/HE'S THE ONE THATS SUPPOSED TO MOTIVATE THEM

3/HE PICKS THE TACTICS (if we had any)

4/HE BOUGHT KUYT

5/WE DIDN'T WIN SO ITS HIS FAULT   :D

Yep, you're absolutely right - he was on the pitch and just played W*nk, didn't he?

Rafa scored the own goal.

Rafa made the strikers play sh*t.

Rafa gave Luton the energy to give a performance above themselves.

Rafa, Rafa, Rafa.

You're beginning to sound like a broken record mate. Face facts - managers can't do a f*cking thing about players having off-days once they're on the pitch.

He's beginning to sound like a broken record? You'd want to check your own posts, lad.

So who would you blame for the performance tonight? Or last week? Or last month. Or for the more often than not, negative, supporter soul-sapping and boring football a Liverpool team has ever produced, over the last three seasons?
AND HERE COMES AVI COHEN!! OH I SAY - AT THE SAME END HE'S GOT ONE BACK!!!!!!!!!!

Jasus u are a great supporter ...

Then who else will u bring in and how long will u give him 1 year if he doesnt win the premiership !!

what do you think the plan was when rafa joined us?

win the title within 5 years, challenge for the title within 5 years?

because i cant see either happening

they certainly wernt a top 4 team like we were when rafa took over

Ye if u say not qualifying for the champions league a top 4 side before rafa comes in

is highly laughable

look at houlliers premiership record

and then look at how bad utd were before fergie took over?

its a diffrent job, in a diffrent time

fergie was given time because when he took over utd were a team in crisis

They finished fourth in the two seasons prior to his arrival - a relatively similar platform (5th then 4th) to how we finished in the league in the two seasons prior to Rafa's arrival.

Albeit, when Ferguson took over in the 86/87 season, they were fourth from bottom, but they had only played 13 games.

After his arrival and under his tenure the Manc's finished:

Season
1) 11th,
2) 2nd (9pts off top),
3) 11th,
4) 13th,
5) 6th,
6) 2nd
7) 1st

In comparison to our record under Rafa:

Season
1) 5th
2) 3rd (9pts off top)
3) 3rd
4) ?

There's a sizeable difference in their respective records. Had Rafa guided us to an 11th placed finish I doubt he would still be here. 13th - Rafa would have been gone, absolutely no question. For one of the most successful managers of all time, Rafa's record fairs quite well in comparison I'd say.

Ola Mr Benitez wrote:sorry to bust up the little ding dong here, but lets get back on topic.  I'll be honest I havent read all twenty odd pages but here is my tuppence about todays match.

Will the real Liverpool please stand up?

We have a great squad of players and a manager who is being followed by all the top clubs in Europe, so how come Luton battered us??  We are lucky still to be in the FA cup today, Luton deserved to win and not just because they battled better than us, but because they passed better, worked as a team better and really created the better chances.

In all my years I have never seen a Liverpool team play so badly.  Jamie Carragher was the only player who could put his hand on his heart and say "you know what I did ok today".. the rest of them should be ashamed.

So whats the reason??  We don't suddenly become a bad team and lets face it the line up was a good one, this wasn't a Liverpool reserve team, it was packed full of class.  Carragher, Finnan, Hypia, Alonso, Lucas, Crouch.  and the rest of them are hardly :censored:!  It looked to me like we just didn't want it.  Did we win a single 50/50 ball? I have never seen so many passes go astray.  Are the players starting to get caught up in the media frenzy about whether Benitez is resigning/getting sacked.  Is Rafa setting the team up wrong?  Can he no longer motivate a talented squad?  Was it just bad day at the office?

I don't know any more what to think but one thing is for sure, if things do not improve on the pitch soon, we will need to look for another manager, coz at the end of the day this is a results game and at the moment we are not getting the results, and to make it even worse we are not even playing well against opposition we should be blowing away.

just what i said before lando the hater of many gave me jip about it the 50/50 balls was thing that :censored: me off the most they didnt look like they wanted to play for there manager let alone for there club very worring indeed .

glad i am not only one to spot that.

Its not just an off day though is it. There has been many a time this season where we have been average.  The football is poor.  Our league position tells u that we havent been great this year.  Our form in the CL has also been patchy.  Ultimate responsibility lies with the Manager.

But we ARE talking about a one-off performance.

And we were unbeaten for months, we have qualified for the lat 16 of the Champions' League, and should we win our game in hand, we'll be back in 4th.

Not the end of the World, really, is it?

It :censored: is if you're a Liverpool supporter and you have to look at "if we win our game in hand we're back in fourth" as looking on the bright side.

Do you know what's happened? The bar has been lowered and some people - I won't mention who (Lando) - is beginning to accept it.

That, my fellow Liverpool fanatics, is the slippery slope to Aston Villa territory.

Fact.[B]

I can't remember when we have had as bad a season as this one for that. Chelsea ,Arsenal ,Spurs , Wigan, Luton and then all the games were we scored first, then they came back, before we eventually crushed them Villa, Reading (lc), Cardiff, Porto, Derby.

Usually when we score first, its game over, but this season we just haven't been able to close the door as usual.

I personally feel that once Agger is back, and Alonso has recovered his fitness, this will rectify itself.
