Well, that just shows what a class act the man is, and what a gentleman.

I was sorry to see him leave, his goals have been a massive part of our success.

All the best mate.

I have never in all my time as a Liverpool fan, known a player to leave and then send a letter to the club and its fans with so much emotion.

Man.. i had tears in my eye (my wife tells me I'm a big jessie)

Nive one Luis.. you could be a right pain in the a$$, but overall you did come up with the goods.

Good Luck and You Will Never Walk Alone
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

i`d be a hypocrite if i said he didnt fustrate me a lot of the time with his ambitious flicks and tricks that often gave the ball to the opposition just when we needed to keep possession but without his goals there is no way we would have won the champions league.
it wasnt luck why he scored so many goals (important ones at that) and as a midfielder he always followed the ball into the box and thats hard work to continually do that from midfield.
goals like the header in the derby when morientes shot was parried onto the bar or even following up when cech brought baros down in the semi final - that takes effort to keep on getting in those positions.
the superb goal against juventus, the hat trick against leverkusen away when people were saying the tie was no where near over after dudek let in a last minute free kick at anfield..........garcia did more than most in that epic run to the final.
the letter is a touch of class and his own efforts on the pitch during the 2005 champions league campaign assures luis that as long as footballs get kicked on merseyside he will never be forgotten.
good luck for the future luis, we will look out for your results too.

I was Devistated to see him go, he has scored some important goals and given us many things to remember him by, that is a great letter and a nice gesture the likes of which are limited in the game of football today.

Good Luck Lil' King Luis :) :)

That is superb!! And while we as supporters gratefully and humbly receive his thanks I hope he realises that we too are eternally grateful for his contributions.... not least for his goals against Juventus and Chelsea in the run up to Istanbul, but also his flare and not fogetting that brilliant thumb in mouth goal celebration.
