Ball waster - get rid

Matt McQueen - Liverpool 1892-1928.
Only professional to - play in goal (41 appearances), Defence, Midfield, Striker, and later be Director and then to be Manager (winning a Championship) - at one club

Ball waster who scored winners against Chelsea on a few occassions, Arsenal, Leverkusen and Juventus aswell as notching up around 30 goals for Liverpool despite the fact he doesn't start every week and has had a serious injury.

Around 13 goals each of the last two seasons, and coming from open play, no penalties, no set pieces. Playing Right, left, between lines behind the striker.

Versatile and Underrated.

Agreed. Very good little player Luis Garcia.

I find it hard to believe anyone could disagree with that.

Both IMO.

Yes he does lose the ball a lot & has me tearing my hair out sometimes, but he has the knack of always producing a bit of magic when we need it most. At the end of the day he only loses the ball because he's trying to do something positive, and if he stopped trying we'd lose those magical moments too.

We have missed Luis so much this season.

The point Sabre made about his goals all being from open play is a major one. We have badly missed his goal threat in the second half of the season.
He scores goals with both feet is more than decent in the air, and is the man for the big occasion.

Wish he was fit for the semi's  :(

I didn't make that point really, Bad Bob did months ago, and I realised it's a fact. I had to give the credit to the poster that actually made the point  :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel Luis Garcia has more doubters here than in the Stadium, is that right?

Meaning, those of you who go to the stadium, what comments do you hear about him? are people frustrated? AFAICT he's quite loved, the other day our crowd was singing Luis Garcia he drinks Sangria, which I found it to be a touching gesture.

P.S. Two or three weeks ago or so he was interviewed by Marca, and he said he expected to be for the preseason. I couldn't find the time to translate for some reason, but I'll try to find the interview.

He's also a great header of the ball too.

But I've forgotten how frustrating he can be.

We've missed him because he's one of the few players we have who can genuinely turn a game with a bit of brilliance.

Even when he plays wide (which isn't his position) he at least offers a serious goal threat. The wide players we have playing at the moment offer little goal threat whatsoever.
