Gerrard often takes a lot of the plaudits for 'single handedly' dragging us to victory but Garcia was deffo the unsung hero of that CL campaign. He scored 5 crucial goals in the knockout phase (in fact he scored in every round of the knockout phase) which took some doing because people tend to forget that at the time Leverkusen were the German champions, Juventus the Italian champions and Chelsea had won the title here too.
That Juventus team alone included the likes of Buffon, cannavaro, thuram, zambrotta, nedved, del piero, treseguet and Zlatan, it really was a magnificent effort by rafa and the lads.

Zambrotta and Cannavaro were different class!

Probably two of the best players I've ever seen at Anfield.

At times it was like Zambrotta had a ball magnet in his boot. Class player. Absolutely oozed out of him.
