alright I know that people don't like others posting rumours from the press on here but I read this one:
Liverpool could lose Javier Mascherano after the Copa America. The People says Mascherano has not signed for Liverpool in a full-time transfer yet and could move on this summer.
The Argentina midfield star was only on loan at the Kop for the second half of last season and Liverpool have not yet agreed to pay the fee of around £16 million.
He has yet to buy a house on Merseyside because of all of the uncertainty - Kop boss Rafa Benitez has already tied up midfielders Momo Sissoko and Xabi Alonso on long deals - and he may leave. Liverpool want to keep Mascherano on loan for another year, but there is the chance of a surprise departure.
The news will alert incoming Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson.
If anyone could clear up the situation on Mashcerano it would be appreciated, I really hope we keep him though.
Mascherano will not leave liverpool .... that would be a move backwards for him because he's doing very well and the manager knows all about him and i am confident that we will sign him permanantly after his loan deal.
If Mash does indeed cost as little as £16m then Rafa would be made to refuse to pay such a miserly fee (in this day and age) for such a player. I don’t buy much newspaper journalism because its fabricated nonsense designed to have an alarming impact on the morning worker at 5:45am.
