International Football/Football World Wide - General Discussion

I heard people in the media talking about the Man Utd Ronaldo and asking whether he was comparable to Maradonna and Pele and apparantly Mark Lawrenson compared him favourably to George Best.

It p1sses me off when people hype up a player. Man Utd Ronaldo has done consistently well against wigan, spurs etc but nothing on the big stage - Scholes was the man last Tuesday.

People think football started with the premiership and most people forget about anyone pre 1970 (colour TV).

As for Brazil's Ronaldo, great in his prime. Can't understand why he turned up fat to the last world cup though, should have been dropped.

Messi's goal is class but it doesnt compare to the greats ones goal. Watch Diego's change of pace, and the way he managed to beat 3 men when he recieved the ball. and the way he sold the dummy to Shilton at the end.... incredible....The greatest goal I have ever seen by the greatest footballer ever...ok ok im biased
