Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

If you put it that way:

1) Henry
2) Eto'o
3) Tevez
4) Villa
5) Owen
6) Torres

Trezeguet

Milito

Bent

Forlan

Agree with Saint- of those who are more realistic I'd take Owen.

1) Tevez
2) Trezeguet
3) Villa
4) Owen
5) Torres
6) Eto'o
7) Henry

Agree: milito, forlan and bent are all no nos for me.

Henry's over the hill, Eto'o is a troublemaker and the city of Liverpool is too small a stage for him.
Trezeguet wont come to Liverpool. Owen is not the man he was.

Leaves Tevez, Villa and Torres.  Hhhmmmmm..... boils down to price to leave enough dosh to buy in Malouda and/or Simao. I'd like Tevez but might have to settle for Torres to buy the other two. :(

I have just read in the Independent that Martins has a £13million buy out in his contract, is he worth considering?

I'd put it like this:

Huntelaar
Owen
Torres
Milito
Trezeguet
Bent
Forlan

I don't think we can realistically look at Eto'o (who said today he wants to stay at Barca), Villa, Tevez or Henry.

I don't mind him joining us , that shows rafa has faith in his potential and i guess everybody knows he has potentials , seen few of his clips on his finishing , he can place the ball , lob the keeper but sometimes he just blast it , yet he could do the other things. About his movement , he's not that kinda striker where they stand in lines with the defence waiting for the right thru ball , i don't think rafa prefer that kind of striker. He would prefer someone to work hard someone like torres.

If he stays , i wonder why .....that much loyalty for his home club...??

He got my respect !!

All i'm hoping for rite now is that muthafarka forlan won't be joining us :O

well they can refuse to sell him. His under contract and Athletico do not have to sell him at a valuation less than they value the player.

I would prefer Torres to Milito, Forlan and Bent of the ones we have been rumoured to be interested in, of the ones its likely we could get I would go for Owen. If I had the choice I would go for Tevez.

Interesting.

My wish list, without taking into consideration the money:

1.- Henry
2.- Eto'o
3.- Villa
4.- Tevez (more for your reports than what I have seen)
5.- Milito
6.- Owen (he'd be upper if it wasn't for injuries)
7.- Forlan
8.- Torres

Henry - is past it lost his drive for this country

Torres will struggle in his first premiership season no doubt

Tevez, Eto, Villa are non starters so

1. Forlan & Owen
2. McCarthy
3. Dean Ashton
4. Bent

I believe Forlan has turned a corner in his career, i've said it before and i'll say it again 53 goals in 104 games in spain is pretty good. When he was at Man utd he'd come straight from South America, and of course it's going to be hard to settle i can't think of any player who's come straight from south america and set the prem on fire.

A Quartet of Crouch, Kuyt. Owen & Forlan i believe is a good enough strikeforce for us to be contesting the League

7) forlan
8) trezeguet

or perhaps we can just bring back the deluded cisse and give him a chance. if martins really has a 13mil clause in his contract i think its worth looking at.

i hope he doesn`t struggle to much as it looks like he is the one we are going to get (in almost every paper and on the web everywhere)

lets hope rafa can turn him in to a prem goal machine  :buttrock
