Has to be said - one of the best defensive performances that Riise's put in for quite some time. Incredibly assured stuff from him.
Mascherano has sprayed the ball out to Finnan and Pennant really well, but it's the 10 yard passes that he's being incredibly careless with. I reckon Rafa'll be having a word in the changing room.
Zenden's not done a great deal, but at the same time he's done nothing wrong. Generally a good, disciplined performance all round so far, apart from a bit of sloppiness in the middle of the park. Pennant v Cole is looking a good contest, and I hope he really gets at him second half now that "who? me guv?" is on a yellow.
Very finely balanced. I'm f*cking glued to this. First half objective, to score and not concede, is accomplished with flying colours.
