Hey, just a thought. if we reached the final with that $hit pile of a team manure and we won, do you reckon it will be a feeling that matches istanbul two years ago, or possibly be a better sensation? Simply because of the fact we are playing our most hated rivals and every second the athens final ticks on it will be heart stopping. Or perhaps coming back from 3-0 down against the best team in europe at the time may just edge it? your views?

Personally I think that nothing will ever beat that night in the Istanbul because the match was written for us from the start. Coming back from 3-0 down in a European Cup final against the mighty AC Milan, who hosted players of such standards as Kaka, Maldini, Dida, is only something you can dream of.

Still I can't wait until Athens because i can guarantee the red men will be there and if its against manure or ac milan it will be a memoral game and I can't wait :D

Could we just concentrate on the semis against chelsea?
This is gonna be a massive game. Maureen is playing for his job, chelsea never even been ina  final before. We have to win this semi final, then after that i wouldnt care if we played brazil in the final, lets just get to it first.

Gonna be sorting out my rehab for after the match already!

And yet again showed a hell of a lot of grit and determination...bas.tards!

If Blackburn were only clinical enough they really should have had it wrapped up in the second half.Gamst Pedarsen was great today for Blackburn and really should have put the tie to bed with that header he put clear of goal!
The difference for me was Chelsea wanted it more in extra time when Blackburn were resigned to penalties.

Chelse done OK but yet again it was a grinding German like performance from a team i hate watching the longer a game goes on...they just seem to have a knack of winning late on after being under the cosh...its unfair but they are good at it!
But they seem to get the ball in the net and tend to keep a little extra for late in games..we need to be very wary of Chelsea in the final ten minutes of the 90 or extra time if that comes our way!

Pluses from an LFC point of veiw today....??

Well Blackburn totally dominated the second half, exposed their defence on more occasions than became exposed,Called on Cech to make lost of great saves(BTW take that swimming cap off ya gimp)

And Shevchencko looked like he should have took someone round Aintree on his back yesterday at 100/1!

Very good player!

But is he really any more than a left side Pennant?
I think he may be.

What i like about this player is more so than his ability(he has ability,no doubt).I love his desire and drive on the pitch..the lad has passion and a great will to win.
He's young and today played with no fear atal against a vastly cultured and experienced Chelsea side and done well...he just seems to play his game and get on with it,hes tough as well for being built like a jockeys whip!

Maybe could do with a burger or 2 cause hes looking a bit light around the torso..none the less definately a player i like..as for being our answer to a wanted left winger..i just dont know!Im not Raffa

Its easy to sign the best and most coveted players in the world, from foreign leagues..but will they fit in?Can they take the physical side to the EPL.Personally i dont think we should get over excited about players from Spain. There are few that can come to England from there and adjust to getting kicked around quick enough to make an impact on the team.LFC need players that are gonna be at it from day 1. We cannot afford a bad start to next season

Big names?

E'to,Villa,Alves etc??
Dont be surprised to see neither of the 3 at LFC next season....i think Raffa will shop locally from proven players that CAN cut it the EPL and hope he does exactly that.

Did anyone read Maureens comments on how he had someone sat watching the City game and left as it was so boring after 60 mins? I think his quote was "it was like a testimonial game".

Am i reading that wrong or is that a blatant lack of respect.

Is anyone else sh*tting their pants already?

I was sat there earlier, and I got that empty gnawing sensation in the pit of my stomach.

Let's get them, Liverpool! Let's show those rentboys who we are, and beat them to the final!

I am very much so.

And I hate to sound negative but I think were all getting ahead of ourselves talking of number 6. I know we all play differently every week but of late Chelsea have been getting in the results in tough away games. There also getting big players back from injury like Joe Cole.

Whilst I have faith in our team this is going to be a tough game indeed. Chelsea will be looking to end the tie in the first leg and unless our whole team takes every opportunity they get we arnt going to make it past them.

I'm worried, but no more than when we played them in the same match a couple of seasons ago, they had a better team back then and i think we have a better team now.
