Guthrie , Peltier, Palletta , light years away (maybe never)  from being ready for the first 11. Dudek and Warnock have if anything gone backwards

Of the more established players , Robbie stills retains the brain and skill but not the pace and stamina , don't see him playing for us beyond this season.

Finally will somebody sit down and explain the f'ucking offside rule to Bellamy  Time after time after time he's out of the gate a split second to soon , give him full marks for effort but a k'ick up the a'rse for application .   :veryangry

Bellamy plays on the shoulder and will always be offside sometimes.

Thanks for pointing that out , I never would have noticed   :p

Start counting how many times he is offside , I think you'll find 90% of the time

Couldnt care less if I never seen Dudek ever again only on my CL DVD.
He has to go hes been a liabilty for to many years.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I used to love watching Filipo Inzaghi play when he was younger
he was a real goal getter, but for some reason was more often than not offside, saying that he would still bang them in.

Not saying Bellamy's Inzghi but you understan the general idea i hope  :lookaround

ok funnyman deal with this, Rafa is an idiot who makes baffling team selections and seems to be clueless.
Even when he screws up he doesn't have the integrity to own up to it.

we need to loan these youth player to other clubs in the premiership or to the championship...just look at palleta he was like a piece of paper so lightweight n got really worked out by aliadiere........
but u could see the boy had quality i like the way the boy tackles juz need to be abit strong on his ground i can cleary see he is going to biig in the future
mayb liverpool should hire a rugby or american football physical coach for the player to train with   :p

as for dudek ...as long he keep stayin in liverpool he's heroics in istanbul will fade away

Obviosuly im forever grateful to Dudek for Istanbul but a word on the penalties. Sergihnos was skyed, Pirlos could well have been retaken and Shevchenkos was 1 of the worst pens ive ever seen.

Obviously Jerzy did a great job puttin them off but he did no better than Reina in the fa cup although i suppose the occasion was more important.

Rant over :)

the whole reason i kicked off in the first place was to contest one statement.

it was :censored: then and its :censored: now.  Fowler is :censored:!  He's slower than Hypia with a sack of coal on his back and his fitness is STILL poor.  He's not been THAT player for years and although i openly admit he did prove me wrong last season, this year he cannot even make the bench, let alone the 1st team and its obvious he's never going to make the grade.  I'd rather have us pushing a youth striker through, instead of a :censored: Fowler who's living off the past.

Nothing wrong with being critical, it's the right of ANY fan. But the fact is Rafa got lfc to the final of the League Cup 2 seasons ago playing a similar mix of 1st teamers, fringe players and kids to what we saw last night. Dudek had a 2nd howler in a row, only an idiot would deny that but he has in the past been a quality keeper, a player Rafa obviously trusted enough to get over the errors committed last Saturday evening. Rafa deserves to be criticised because his team got humiliated in front of their own fans but your posts fail to mention that he was let down BADLY by his players last night. As for the 'experts' and commmentators like Andy fu.c.kin Gray and Alan Green give me a break. Had the boot been on the other foot and we had stuffed Arsenal (i wish!) the they would have been firing the predictable 'Wenger didn't take the competition seriously' and 'why leave out your best players' speech his way instead of at Rafa. In case everyone hadn't noticed this competition doesn't mean squat to the managers of the big four teams in this country, not a thing. It's a Youth Team Cup untill the Semi-final rolls around, a chance to get a few injured players back to full fitness and not a lot more in there eyes. the mancs went out to Southend for god's sake!

I'm far more gutted about the manner of the defeat than the fact we lost the game plus the injury to Garcia is a far bigger blow. It was a shocking performance but have a closer look at the stats and you see that Arsenal only actually had 8 shots scoring 6 goals. Football's like that sometimes.

I guess you didn't go the game but i reckon you would have been out of place if you did. Despite booing the team off at half-time the fans responded to a better 2nd half, kept singing and belted out YNWA at the end of the game. I didn't hear them singing for the manager's head. The players will remember that when they walk out to play Watford this weekend and that's what makes LFC fans a class above the res Best fans in world and they proved that last night and last Saturday.

Well it all boils down to this. Would you rather (hypotetically) have a young striker whos barely played a game in his career at first team and who wouldnt have much confidence or somebody who has a lot of experience and despite his age and slowness is one of the best finishers in the history of the game.

Make your own mind up. ???

Fowler has no future in top flight football...he's too slow for the Premiership and too unfit for much else.

I'd rather have someone with a future...not someone whose being paid 30k a week to play in the reserves.

Do you know why he doesn't play for Liverpool?  its because he can't run and has the fitness of a 40 year old....if you want 'legends' at the club, then why not get rush back?  i'm sure he's still a quality finisher!
