ARSENAL VS LIVERPOOL

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Amazingly Mark Lawrenson is going for a 2 - 0 win to Arsenal............

"Losing Momo Sissoko for three months is a massive blow for Liverpool.

Arsenal have struggled at the Emirates Stadium and I think Liverpool will go with a plan not unlike Aston Villa, Everton and Middlesbrough, who all came away with results.

But I think Arsenal will see this is as big scalp and I think they're due a good performance and result at home".

Come on its time to give the hero of Istanbul a run in the team.

Other than that I would go with:

Dudek
Finnan, Paletta, Agger, Riise
Garcia, Gerrard, Alonso, Gonzales
Kuyt, Crouch

With this team I think we would have a damned good chance but we must attack and not play passive.

I too think Dudek was quality against Birmingham, but anyone can look good for one game. I say give him the rest of the Carling cup, and if he continues playing well & Reina keeps making mistakes (which he hasn't for the last few games) then maybe give him a run in the team.

As for Paletta, you are joking, aren't you?  ???

Why are you amazed? That tw*t never praises our club or gives us a chance.

OK OK I'd play Carra with Agger, but maybe I'd put Paletta at right or left back, there should be room for him somewhere, he looked very good and partnered Agger extremely well. As for Reina, how many more chances do you want to give that clown, he is NOT a good goalie this season. I genuinely think Dudek is better, at least he made a few important saves, I can't remember the last time Reina impressed me in goal.

I have a good feeling about Sunday though, as opposed to the very bad feeling I had before the ManUre match.

1-3 to the reds I think

Sunday is going to be a good match. Not sure what Rafa will do (who does know) but i expect to see stvie and alonso in the middle, with possibly kuyt up front and either crouch or garcia with him.

Cant wait for this game

He may back on predictions but he is faceless when it comes to either commentary and TV interviews. He never thinks anything we do is good enough. The word idiot comes to mind

Until a new generation of players achieve what he achieved during his time at Liverpool he won't give the club one ounce of respect.

There's always Thommo who backs us for everything.  :D

With sissoko injured, i think rafa will use more of zenden in the middle rather than putting gerrard in CM.......

Well i don't really like zenden, but he is more of a goal threat than sissoko.... Lets see how he makes use of this opportunity.

                    Reina
Finnan    Carra    Agger    Riise
Gerrard   Alonso  Zenden  Garcia
            Kujt
                           Crouch

Reina

Finnan   Agger        Hyypia     Riise
                   Carra
   Gerrard        Alonso         Garcia
              Kuyt
                       Crouch

Playing away IMO this will be the best option.
Kuyt playing behind Crouch together with Gerrard.
1-3 Gerrard, Garcia and Kuyt to score
