Thanks for the information. For a second I thought you would be waiting for us in Helsinki. But you're right, Istanbul is in Turkey. Your geographical knowledge knows no bounds.

Welcome to hell.

Actually no, because UEFA have ruled your stadium is just too crummy to host the five-time European Champions. So we'll play in the place that witnessed our greatest triumph of the 21st century.

Now, onto more important things.

It was a good match.

Crouch's second goal was stunning.

Credit of course to the opposition for not collapsing and coming back.

Once again an example of a team going into a lead and then becoming too complacent and inviting pressure. They had us on that right side. Those crosses were coming in. In that situation, the object should be to close down the opposition before they make the cross, but we seemed to be backing off and inviting them into space to cross. Big mistake. It cost us and could have cost us the game.

You are a genius student.  :rasp

We did Istanbul a hell for both Manchester and Leeds. Also remember 2001-2002 season how it was a hell for you.

Just wait for 2 months and see what a hell you will be in.

I will be in Ataturk Olimpic Satadium. Hope to see you.

Yes, 7-10 men stabbed 2 English killing them.

What men you are, honour, valour, and respect World-Wide.

Come on mate, even Arsenal beat you up.

try walking into a pub full of arsenal fans and accuse them and see what happens 2 u

yh by the way tottenham dave get ur facts right arsenal has a bad luck with turkish clubs they lost 4-0 to a turkish team on a friendly which the turkish team that season got relegated ;)

and gala did not lose to arsenal infact they beat them on the uefa cup final 4-1 on penalties which they played 10men after 52mins after Hagi got sent off and our defender also played with a injured shoulder

And we beat you tonight.

It's all good. :D

Good game for the neutral, but I was cacking my pants after their second goal.

Just goes to show why Rafa plays Momo alongside Xabi in the centre, with Stevie out on the wing.

We were ripped apart whenever Stevie went forwards, as Xabi was left doing a two man job alone.

Crouch has certainly shut a few up aswell. Good on the lad.  :nod

Reina 5 - looked as nervous as a kitten all night
Finnan 6 - looked great going forward first half but looked tired second half
Aurelio 6 - great cross's but never looked to get back and defend(May have been tactical?)
Agger 6 - inexperience at this level showed
Carragher 7 - needed all his experience to hold defence together second half
Garcia 7 - showed the good and the bad tonight, great vision, passing and goal, but lost ball too many times and tried to do too much at times
Alonso - 7 Still not back to his best and was bypassed with ease second half
Gerrard - 7 Not one of his best performances and lack of discipline left gaps behind him
Pennant - 5 One good cross but lost ball or produced a bad cross too often (perhaps I am too hard on him? )
Kuyt 6 - Looked tired but had a good shot that hit the post. Poor first touch let him down when in good positions.
Crouch 8 - Continues to exceed all my expectations. What a second goal!

Sissoko 7 - Helped to close game when we were under the cosh
Gonzales 5 - Disapointing

Sabri?

I' ve said before;

-It won' t be that easy for LFC.
-Gala have the pottential to put on some surprises.
-H.Sukur won' t put on a bright performance.
-Watch, Arda and Hasan Sas carefully.

After all it was an entertaining game between LFC and Galatasaray. Maybe the best of the CL Match Day 2.

I' m sure that you' re all surprised with the performance of Turkish supporters at Anfield Road.

Thanks to all who show their respect for my side Galatasaray. And shame on others who intended to insult Gala as well as Turkish people. I' m realy disappointed with those...

Unfortunately, I still like reds. I' m still one of the biggest fans of Gerrard. Because, its just football (a game).

Thank you all; it was a really nice game!.. I hope, the second match will be alike.(Of course hope Gala to get 3 points this time)

A very disapointing performance. Not just that we let them back in the game, but that for the third time this season a team has wanted to win the game more than Liverpool. Sheff U, Everton and Gala all out fought Liverpool. If we play like this against Bolton we will be outfought and we will probably lose that one.

We are playing some good football and are starting to look good going forward but we need to start competeting all over the field. I havent seen Liverpool lose so many tackles and be outfought in so many areas of the pitch as we have this season for years. We are not that good that we can win games without competing for every ball for every minute of the game.

I know we won tonight but it feels more like a defeat because we never showed the fight or spirit I expect every Liverpool team to have. We had too many players wanting to play good football and not enough players fighting to earn that right.

We won deservedly and got the three points but the way we allowed them to take the game away from us hurts.
