Thats a bit harsh lads, people were giving their best wishes but also pointing our FACTS, at the end of the day he was going to leave the club and Marseille are in Liverpool so it's not like we were just being harsh :(

I like the way you highlighted the key word FACT, because at the end of the day people are pointing out the FACTS,

Don't forget that Man U bought Rooney when he was out injured. So long as it's not the same old break again, this may not necessarily change anything from a transfer point of view. It'll be interesting what noises come from Lyon and Marseille now.

no club is going to lay out 8mil on a player with a broken shin until they have seen how he returns from the injury.
especially french clubs who are not traditionally big spenders, that would be too big a risk financially, plus who`s going to pay a fella big wages for sitting on the touchlines.
i think cisse will be here next season, you never know this could be fate and maybe djib will become that 30 goal a season striker.
he certainly doesnt seem destined to leave lfc for a good while yet.

Nicholas Anelka might have really screwed up.  He layed into the Manager when he was left out.  Well now the Manager can bring someone in and Anelka may of blown it.

A minor ankle break? ??? did you see it on tv? the break was in the lower shin, thats not minor, hell need major surgery to put that staright screws, pins the lot.

First of all I haven't seen the incident. I hadn't realised it was on Eurosport, so I've only just put the game on.

What I will point out is that the shin is the most common kind of leg break, and so long as it's a clean break, it's a very standard plaster-cast recovery. If it hasn't punctured the skin, the average recovery time is 6-8 weeks. Pins will only be necessary if there are multiple fractures.

All of this is speculation of course. We'll have to wait and see what the diagnosis is.

Obviously it is a little tasteless to think about how this affects the potential money resulting from a transfer to France, but let's not forget that Cisse himself wants the transfer. Even if his recovery is swift, his dream of returning home may well be scuppered by this appalling piece of bad luck.

he did look pretty calm so am hoping thats a sign of the break not being as bad as first thought.

If it was one of our hero's none of us woulld be talking about the money .Maybe this signifies just how disloyal some of us can be .No wonder some players go for the money while they can get it .

Thats why I dont hold it against anyone looking to make us much as possible for them and their family.  You never know when your last game will be.

It just makes me sick . Imagine yourself in Cissie's shoe's , lyin' in hospital recovering and maybe (just maube) you log on to a site like this and all you see is a bunch of so called supporters moaning about the fact that "we'll get f*ck all for him now "

IT'S A F*CKING DISGRACE .

Agree with you there woof. It's not right no matter how much you don't like the guy to be thinking about how little the club will get for him now. There won't be many of us on here that haven't thought how this is going to affect any transfer but we have to forget that. This is a young mans livelyhood and not matter how rich he is we must rally behind him and just wish the poor sod well and hope he makes a full recovery.

Doesnt really bother me about the guys condition..its a broken leg, it happens to people every day and its not that serious, its not like hes dying. If this had happened to some random person somewhere you wouldnt all be worried to find out about their condition and see if thy are comfortable and gettin through it all right..think of cisse like just another person, another person whos got tons of money..and dont say imagine you were him because if i was i wouldnt be that bothered, ive had a broken leg, its nothin and hes a rich guy its not really going to affect his life even if it ended his career. i dont really feel too much sympathy, im more worried about how we are going to transfer him now

Your over reacting I think, no one mean anything bad but questioning the transfer cos at the end of the day were Liverpool fans so it's obvious people will wonder whats going to happen now, but at the same time no one is that nasty that they now feel for him and hope he gets well!  :no

I really do feel sorry for him. He has had relentless bad luck with injuries and he gets treated like :censored: by Liverpool, and he missed the Euro 2004 and now this.

I hope he recovers fast.
