This is absolutely rubbish but you have to persevere with it just to see the pathetic impressions of Jack Bauer

They're actually really funny.  You don't realise just how often Jack repeatedly shouts:

"Dammit we don't have a choice"

"You're going to tell me what I need to know right now"

"Sonofabitch"

"If you don't tell me what I want to know, then it'll just be a question of how much you want it to hurt."

"Tell me where the bomb is or I will kill your son."

"Damn it!"

The following three are ALWAYS shouted at the top of Jack's voice.

"Where are the nuclear weapons?"

"Tell me where the nerve gas is!"

"Tell me where the bomb is!"

Mikz, you're going to hate being up to date, it means you've got to wait a whole week then. 24 is best watched in blocks of 24 hours I think. :D

Yeah I was onto Buchanan when he said that.  I had to go back and listen to him say it again. :D

I thought episode 20 was a little bit of a re-hash from one of season 4's plotlines TBH - although the cliff hanger was brilliant at the end!

 Poor Edgar

I have to admit, the most enjoyment I got out of 24 was when I watched the first season on DVD - could watch it when I wanted.

I reckon i'm gonna pick up season 3 on the cheap as that was ace and watch it again. At least we'll have finished this season by the time the World Cup starts!!  :D

Try The Shield Mikz.

Quality show about the Strike Team in the fictional Farmington district of L.A.'s police force.  The Strike Team are not averse to breaking the law themselves if it gets their arrest quota up.  This involves condoning murder, robbery and drug dealing on occasions.

Michael Chiklis (The Thing from the Fantastic Four movie last year) is Detective Vic Mackey and he's the main guy in it.  He's an arse kicking brutal cop.  It's very good.  I'm up to episode 2 of Season 3 at the moment and it has run for five seasons up to now so it's keeping me occupied.

I'm also watching a few Smallvilles a week as well.  I'm trying to get up to date with it before Superman Returns comes out at the end of June.  I've just started Season Two.  Clark is a monster of course, it's all about him and how he deals with his abilities as a teenager.  He's great to watch, but I'm really interested in Lex Luthor's Anakin Skywalker-esque journey to the dark side.  We all know he's going to end up as an evil genius villain, but right now, he and Clark are really good friends and it's fascinating watching it as you know how it will all turn out for him and Lex in the end.

Plus, Lana Lang, but ESPECIALLY Chloe are both well fit.  :hearts

*For what it's worth, I think Day One of 24 was still the best, but Day Five has been absolutely gripping from start to finish.

Actually, I'm forgetting to recommend the other Daddy of American TV, The Sopranos.  Absolutely gripping, I've still got to watch Season 5 and 6 of that.  Season 7 is out shortly.

Im getting geared up for the Finale of Smallville -the return of Zod. Cant wait for this !
As Smallville proceeded I grew to absolutely detest Lana to the point of almost quitting watching it. Her "world revolves around me" attitude gets tiresome .The way Clark treated Chloe enraged me too, but that apart-This show is fantastic. Watch out for The Flash, Aquaman, and other great heroes and villains who appear on it.
Alisha (the teleporter) :bowdown

The shield sounds good Jon

I liked day 4 of 24 best..no wait 3 was great , but 5 is fantastic  cant decide myself

Missed it last night mate, but I've Sky Plussed the repeat tonight.  I'd read somewhere that they were carrying 24 on for another three seasons worth about $35 million to Sutherland in salaries.  That's some serious fucking cash that.

This show has made my life better.  That's how far I'm willing to stick my neck out and emphasise to anyone who is still to watch this fantastic show that they are missing out big time by neglecting to watch what is easily the best TV show ever broadcast.
