"If Newcastle win at Southampton tomorrow, the Liverpool players are going to find themselves in the same, strange situation.

Although we have the advantage, I think it's a horrible position as a player when your instincts tell you to be cautious but you're trying to play the game like you need to win it.

Obviously that's how we want to approach the match. Treat it as though we need to win to qualify in fourth rather than grab a point.

But if it's 0-0 with 20 minutes left, our players will have the dilemma and Newcastle will have the clearest game plan and throw everything at us..."

I reckon the best Newcastle will get at Southampton is a draw so I don't think it'll come down to Saturday, here's hoping anyway.....

Yeah i agree S'ton are a good side and Newcastle are stuggling to score goals plus there away form is awful!

I think we could be celebrating CL football tonight!

i am confident of beating newxastle at home on the last day regardless of the result tonight. bobby robson has never won at anfield as a player or a manager. also, owen will run rings around tit@rse bungle and co.

There all full off it. I've bet a southern softie a soft £5 on Leicester getting a result on saturday. The money isn't important, I just want to see his face when they stumble at the last hurdle to a relagated side.

You may think the i'm a twa*t for this bet but I have the voodoo dolls out, a box of black magic and the power of the lord on my side!!!!!

Oh and if I do lose I'll just tw*T the southern puff and not pay up!!
