I agree, but unfortunately to gain more interest in the league, the Finals series is a must IMO if the A-League is going to attract a wider fan base than die-hard football fans in Australia.

If you did crown Adelaide as champions like every other football league around the world would have, it would've been a complete anti-climax to the season. Also, not many people would understand the concept of not having a 'grand final' like the NRL, AFL etc, other than those who follow world football very closely like ourselves.

The final was a good game though and I can't see the current format being changed in Australia in the near future, if ever TBH. That may mean that the Australian league is always looked at by Europe/South America as somewhat inferior, not only in quality terms, but also the format of it all.

Ive heard Sydney FC have told Dwight Yorke he can leave?
Im shocked at that, surely thats a financial decision and not a playing decision because hes been on form in Oz?

Yorke was bought in to do one job IMO; win the grand final (or play a large part in the process) . He's done that, now he can go...at least that seems to be the attitude.

I would anticipate head coach, Litbarski will be on his way too.

I was rather surprised by that, Yorke has been a huge success both on and off the field
Though i think it a case that club may have been pre-empting as they thought he was leaving.
I cant see it being for financial reasons because i thought he was on a 2 year contract
