i personally like sissoko, i like the players that try. im a heart fan, not a head fan tho. thats why i always liked biscan and even traore. its stupid i know, buts its me

Morientes on OCCASSIONS can pass the ball to a player on the same team.

He's shown in the past he's capable of linking play, with other players and passing the ball well and and helping us keep possession, i remember the first game of the season against Boro, had a bit of an average game but kept the ball well and set Gerrard up twice which he missed.

Cisse offers NOTHING. He loses the ball with every touch/pass he makes, infact probably about 95% of his game is giving the ball back to the opposition.

Now, he offers a TINY bt more goalthreat than Nando... But he misses the most basic of chances, misses sitters with bad finishes and bad control.

None of those are the worst thing about Sissy though. Morientes puts people under pressure at least and doesn't go off on one every time he makes a bad decision, Cisse does and NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER puts ANYONE under any pressure except his own team mates.

The mans :censored:. He's a league one player at best. He's absoloutely rubbish and i can't think of another premier league striker with as poor a touch. Even Darren Bent at Charlton has a bad touch, but if you watch the rest of his game, his movement's good, his shooting and techniques good and he's strong and works hard.

Fowler is probably the best 'striker' out of a bad bunch, but he hasn’t done anything yet so it would be stupid to make big claims.

None of the strikers we have are the long term answer.

Playing at Liverpool is too high a level for Cisse. I think he can play in the Premiership, but at a mid table side like Birmingham or Aston Villa.

Best thing for him is too go back to France and play at a club that isn’t looking to play in such an advanced way, a team that will base there play around him.

Dawson, what part of its :censored: mate?

Clearly Rafa Benitez thinks along the same lines. I'd be more inclined to agree with him than anyone on this board.

That isn't meant as an insult because even though you are clueless you're still a good lad. :D

to say he never never never puts any pressure on is pure bollox mate. when he was playing down the right the last few games he was putting on plenty opf pressure, i believe his crosses helped us with 2 goals if im not mistaken.

now lets look at mori. whenever he has the ball i think hes gonna lose it.. and guess what... he loses it.

and what exactly has crouch done in the last 6-7 games.. absolutely nothing.

one reason rafa doesnt like cisse is that rafa didnt buy cisse, he aquired him thanks to houllier. the fatc is that cisse needs things to be done around him, and this will never happen, but to say he NEVER poses a threat is, im sorry to say, naieve... but since its u saying ti we'll let u off

Cisse does nothing off the ball apart from causes problems for our team. He doesn't even show for a pass. He makes one run and if he doesn't get the ball he sulks. Remember Owen's first goal for Newcastle? He started the run, didn't get the pass, makes another, doesn't get the pass, makes another and bang, the balls in the back of the net. Sissy wouldn't do that.

Also when a defender has the ball he applies absoloutely NO pressure, i can honestly say theres probably only two or three 3 times i've seen him put a player under pressure.

Man Utd away, Crouch was running 15, 20 yards to close down van der Sar when Sissy only had to run 5 or 10, Crouch rightly bollocked him for is as did Gerrard. It was a disgrace for a "premiership" player. I'd rather have Paul Dickov than Sissy.

Morientes tracks back, shows for passes, offers something interms of an outlet and at least tries, even when his confidence is shot, he still challenges for balls... Sissy ducks and stands there.

Rafa didn't buy Sami, Carra, Gerrard, Riise or Finnan, he likes them. The reason he doesn't like Sissy is because he's not and never will be good enough. All Cisse has to do when he's on the pitch is stop complaining about things, get on with it and run to close defenders down. Thats all we ask, if he does that and he's not good enough, he won't get half the stick he does.

People back Traore, the only reason he has a go. He's woefull, a really poor player, bu at least he tries. Sissy's probably marginaly better than Traore, yet doesn' put 50% effort in, how can you support that?

Morientes isn't :censored:, just not good enough in my opinion.

He's done a Reyes, looked superb at first, realised how physical it is and decided he doesn't fancy it.

Im surprised to see Gerrard scoring as many goals as Owen. Why bring back Owen, lets play Stevie as a striker, he could be more effective :D .

The last time one of our strikers "who is still at the club" scored was on the 31/12/2005 when Crouch netted against West Brom, which is almost 10 games ago. If we want to finish 2nd, our strikers better start scoring soon. If the situation doesn't get any better, i'm sure that there will be a few departures at the end of the season.
