It may be that Rafa stays for the forseeable furture and for the majority of Reds fans that is welcome but things can change quickly so talk of a possible successor is not as crazy as soome may think.

Jewell is a no nonsense manager which may mean he lacks the diplomatic qualities needed to manage a top club like Liverpoolbut to be honest he has many of the credentials LFc would look for in a manager.

How old is Jewell? He must be close in age to Rafa, at around 45 years old. If that's the case, the Liverpool manager's job can't be available to Jewell when he is in his 40s because if that chance comes, it would mean that Rafa would have left us early.

His team does have the philosophy of playing football in the right spirit as compared to the physical and long ball merchants from the British Isles who tend to practice this at the smaller clubs in the EPL to unsettle the more established opponents.

We need to see a few seasons first, and I hope Rafa is here for a while. Would he join as asistant. Probably not.
