Paul jewell future liverpool boss?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

If he keeps proving his ability in the premiership i think he could be an excellent choice to manage liverpool one day in the future.

hes a scouser, ex liverpool player and i really like the way he gets his team to play, they always entertain and they fight till the last minute, theres definately some of the old boot room spirit that has been transferred from anfield to wigan via paul jewell.

that is debateable, we cant score a goal and it was rafa that bought the 4 strikers we have here,  cant knock fowler yet but its not like hes bought 1 dud striker hes bought 3 so far with crouch, morientes and cisse!!!

Actually he inherited Cisse from Houllier. If theres one thing though that Benitez is known for its getting rid of the underperformers quick. The duds he brought in like Nunex, Pellegrino and Josemi were quickly dealt with as will some of our striker no doubt in the summer.

Rafa is ruthless, but that is a good thing for Liverpool. If they aint up to stratch, he ships them out. He realises his mistakes and is strong enough to admit it. At the moment we have one of the best managers in the world. His tactical nous is second to no-one.
A few posts on here have been slating Crouch. Do you actually go to the game? The TV coverage does not do Peter justice. He is in a bit of bad form at the moment, but so is the whole team. Peter brings so much to the team and I think he is a great signing for Liverpool. He isn't a 20 goal a season man- however he is a great attribute to liverpools attacking style.

Now lets go back on topic. Paul Jewell. I am a big admirer of Paul Jewell. He is also a scouser, lol. No , seriously Paul Jewell has Wigan playing wonderful football. I like the attacking style that he plays. He goes for wins, nothing else. I can see the similarities between the bootroom of old and Paul Jewell. If Rafa weren't here, he would definetly be my favorite for the post. Hope Rafa stays - maybe with Paco and Paul as Assistants. :D  :D

yeah i agree with you there at least he gets rid of the dead wood as fast as it comes in, thats one way to create the perfect team eventually, an expensive way to do it tho it would be better if he started getting things right 1st time, but at least he admits his mistakes and dosent stand by them like houllier used too

To be honest i agree.I thought Paul did exceptional at Bradford too when he was there with limited resources.
If and when Rafa moves on we could do alot worse than look at Paul Jewell........good shout.
