Ever heard of a little thing called migration?

So you are actually South American. Possibly now an Aussie National, but never-the-less a South American.

Surely you can understand why I condensed your two posts into one? No need to take offence, chap!!!

12?? no, unfortunately for you. I just happen to be very vocal and passionate about hating Viduka as a marksman and focal point for our Socceroos. Kewell I have time for, because I've seen him play some marvelous football. Viduka I have never seen play anything up to the standard that we need to progress. As I said before, 6 goals in 31 matches is not good enough for a striker. Hell, we gave Heskey grief for not scoring enough and wasting opportunities. Someone who has the nation on his shoulder should really do better, and the coach should know better than to play him when he is utterly useless for the team. (which is almost always.)

TBH I think the only reason Kewell was playing was because of the yellow card situation with too many of the squad. I dont think he is fit enough at moment and rather see him come off the bench late in the game.
While i dont rate Viduka much, probably more to do with that Leeds goal assault against us a few season ago , he wasnt too bad and his attitude of late has been fantastic compared to the old sulky merc routine we used to get from him.
More evidence to me that Guus is a miracle man

Although I think you are a little harsh on Viduka, i.e. he's a lot better player than you give him credit for, his scoring record is poor, and for me Aloisi should be picked ahead of him, as he has over 20 goals in about 35 games for Australia, which is a pretty good record.

I'm not harsh, his record is harsh on us, that's why I like to bash him. The only people in Australia that like Viduka, are the Croats, bandwagon supporters, and those who just watch too much SBS. :D

Were we harsh on Heskey?

El Stinger has a point. I also bash Towers (Torres). He scores only penalties and against San Marino, where as the all time third scorer of Spain, Morientes (with his last goal sums more goals than Butragueño), is on the bench.

Well I disagree...Viduka is a target and even if he's only dragging defenders out and making space for other to run into is OK by me. I don't care who scores the goals as long as someone does and football is a team game after all.  'Bashing' a player achieves what exactly?? Makes the basher feel better?? Cheap thrills kid.

Thankfully the people who make the decisions have a little bit more knowledge of the game than el stinger. All he can do is to make wild generalisations and tacky inuendo...debates/discusses like a 12 year old, and certainly thinks the world revolves around himself, which is why I come to the conclussion he is still just a boy.

Laza...agreed, Guus is pulling the right strings and making players do all those things that we had hoped they might. Long live Aussie Gus!!  :D

Kewell did what he was suppose to do - if you watched the game, you would of saw him actually TRACKING BACK AND DEFENDING. He didn't really get to many attacking positions and IMO did a decent job. Maybe not as much flare as we've seen, but thats expected from his lay off.

Its good that Harry played the 90 minutes without any setbacks.
Uraguay have some decent players and playing anywhere in south america is difficult so the 1-0 scoreline is not too bad.
I agree about it being a joke the aussies having to playoff against south american opposition.
It makes no sense, it wont happen next time as they are in the asian section i think, but its a bit of a joke that the african and central american sides are guaranteed positions in the world cup.
U.S.A and Mexico's qualifiers are almost as easy as the aussies imo.
