Simply responding, I'm not taking it personal sweetheart, just calling it as I see it.

BTW, Viduka still sucks, and you have yet convinced me otherwise.

Sweatheart?? Can I ask you NOT to call me sweatheart, I don't even know you. I think that is extremely insulting.

I'm NOT trying to convince you that Viduka is a good player, bad player or any other type of player, I'm just saying that I have seen worse (and I have also seen better) and my reasons as to why I think that way. I repeat, I'm  NOT tryng to convince you of anything.

Why? Give me reasons. I've given you reasons why he's not, tell me why he is. Simple.

Lads come on, there no need to bicker between yourselves. Why don't you save yourselves the heartache and support the motherland known as England.

Come back to your roots

I was at this game. Uruguay vs. the Aussie queeroroos, in case no one knows the game I am referring to.  Yes, this is the one. No offence, btw. You're still making fun of a country, d.ick!! Even if it was on the Simpsons or what not. Judging by most of the fan base of the Australians that I saw at the game, you people have no room to talk about who's gay or not. They cheer their team on like it was someone's mom with their kid. SO GAY. Not even going to comment on those inflatable kangaroos. God knows what you people do with them after the game is done...

Only poking fun, btw. :D

In all seriousness, I was impressed by Kewell when I finally saw him live. He didn't have a fantastic game or anything, but he showed glimpses of his class here and there. Couple nice touches, took a player or two on and beat them with speed. I laughed out loud, though, when he crossed the ball to a gang of a couple of Uruguayans and none of his teammates were anywhere near there. I also don't like how much he gets all pisssy when he gets fouled. Spectacular dive that one time also, Harry. I really enjoyed watching him play, I have to say. Still was hoping he wouldn't have the greatest of games obviously..

I don't rate Viduka. He looked like he might score in the beginning of the game when Australia were nearly dominating, but he was non existent later on. As were Australia, lucky it was only 1-0 in the end. They couldn't handle Estoyanoff (I've mentioned this guy before on here, when people were crying out for right-wingers). Esoyanoff couldn't handle himself at times either. ha. Some bad. Didn't have a perfect game or anything, but yeah. I really like this kid. Might be a case of International only, and not top club player. I've seen him a few times for Cadiz, not the same.

El Stinger i havent read many of your posts on any other issue so i'm not sure whether you constantly post bizarre remarks, but unless you've got a world class player put 2 men on anyone and they will struggle to get involved.
I dont know what Viduka is like for Australia nor do i actually care, but to say he is sh@te cos if you put 2 men on him he struggles is stupid beyong comprehension.
Not meaning to insult ye but think about it.
FWIW i think Viduka is quite a lazy player when i have seen him, but on his day can be a very strong awkward forward.
His goalscoring record for Australia obviously isn't good enough, but if 2 men are marking him then its making space for other players.

Hrm...

Remember us vs Leeds a couple of seasons ago? Viduka scores 4 in the game to our 3...it was a long time ago, but you can't call him shyte. Lazy fair enough, but since given the captaincy, he has shown more commitment. World class maybe not, but I think he's supposed to play similar to crouchy does - hold it up at lay it off for our running midfielders and he was doing his job. Albiet not great, but doing it nevertheless

That's what I'm talking about...putting it simplisticly, it matters little who actually scores the goal. If the striker (in this case Viduka) is taking two players out of the game (by them having to mark him) then simple maths says that we have a player free.

SCShankly...our roots are all over the world. It's no longer the case of coming home to mother england. We are Irish, Scots, Italian, German, Polish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Malaysian, Canadian & indigenous Australian...you name it and Australia has a community somewhere in the country. To say "come back home" to an Aussie now is like putting and Irishman in a barrel and telling him to p!ss in the corner. It just leads to utter bewilderment and confusion.   :eyebrow

That was an example of what he did during the Uruguay game. He is constantly used up front as a lone striker, and is easily thwarted by putting 2 blokes on him. Of course he is going to have sh1t matches if he is constantly put into this position. That was what I was referring to in my previous posts.

You would think so, wouldn't you. So why the fkuck do we struggle kicking goals?? Take a midfielder out of the line up and plonk Alosisi next to Viduka, then we will have some firepower. But does Viduka want to play with Aloisi?? SBS doesn't seem to think the 2 get along. So I have no sympathy for Viduka and his lazy @ss.
