Another pathetic display, 2 goals in a minute what a joke.
Houllier even if we finish 4th you are not the man to lead our club, you are a joke and the squad is a joke.
Even when we were 1-0 up I said to everyone we will still lose and people were saying behave and then final score 4-2 what a joke.
Houllier please f##k off and take your s##t squad with you

You should calm down a bit I know your disappionted but f**k off and take your squad with you is bit extreme isnt it ?
You cant have a football club without a squad. :D
Our best players like Gerrard,Owen,Kewell, etc. are members of the squad so what do you mean take your s**t squad with you ?

I am really really disappointed with todays result especially as we were ahead twice and especially as I was really confident we would win.
Henrys second goal was a joke it shouldnt have happened.

Also I would like to point out that I never really hated Biscan or thaught he was all sh*t (I thought he was good enough to be on the bench) but today was his last chance to prove himself. HE IS FINISHED. I mean you'd think he'd raise his game against Arsenal, but I guess he has no game to raise.

Houllier should be the first to leave and then Biscan after him.

I'm sick of this blls**t its time for a change and it better f**king come.

i did expect a draw a but i'm not naive, stupid or ignorant enough to think we have a devine right to anything because of our past. We aren't as good as Arsenal and it was shown today.

Over 90 minutes the better side won, i haven't yet watched the game, i'm just about to but the fact of the matter is we were beaten by one of the best sides in europe and certainly the best england. There is no disgrace in that, we have to get to that sort of level, with the right additions in the summer i feel next season will be so much closer over the 38 games with no more than 10-12 points seperating the top three which we will be in.

But Arsenal were tired they were loosing (chell & utd) and I was confident we'd get something. Also Henry was fit to play which is weird because he was meant to be injured for the game for beyond this weekend.

I tell ye they better beat newcastle on sunday or I hope they beat newcastle on sunday.

Right lads, I hope you have all voted, and that you do all hate me . . .

Just got back from the game today, and I have a few observations.

1)   Arsenal today was a dangerous game, the old cliche, the wounded beast and all that. Think about this for a minute, who are the best team in England right now, Arsenal right ? Do you think that Arsenal are going to be beaten three times in one week? No neither did I. The best result in all honesty we could have hoped for was the draw. A win would have been out of this world, but I travelled to London this morning hoping we could contain Arsenal and get a draw. In the end we were beaten by a better team, and more importantly by the best player in the World right now.

2)   Gerard Houllier has got a major problem. If he seriously thinks that the best way to overcome the best attacking side in Europe is to leave the best defender we have at the club on the sidelines and play a failed average midfielder at the very heart of the defence, then he is seriously mistaken. I have not spoken to anybody who understands GH's resoning or can see any logic whatsoever in Biscans selection. Obviously the only real argument for giving the lad a game is if he plays outstandingly in training, and merits his chance in the first XI. However if this is the case, and Houlliers thinking behind the selection is based on this then the man must be blind, having seen him cost us countless games this season. I am not having a go at Igor here, all he can do is play to the best of his ability whereever the gaffer selects him, the problem is that his ability is limited. The buck stops with Houllier here.

3)    Tactically, GH needs to take a real good look at some tapes of games, and think long and hard about his instructions to the players during games. In the first ten minutes today, Liverpool were rampant. Our best form of defence is undoubtedley attack. Houllier clearly instructed the players in the event of scoring a goal that they should sit back and defend it. Totally wrong. Heskey then became totally redundant, and this and this alone gave Arsenal the impetus to equalise.

4)   Thierry Henry's goal, when he dribbled through and slotted home was simply a wonderful goal. A number of supporters around me simply applauded the brilliance of the man. In football, when you are honoured to see skill, even if its the opposition you just have to admire it. Do you remember when Barca taught us a lesson in the Champios Leagus at Anfield a few years ago with a marvelous move for that ex-arsenal players goal (name escapes me). The Kop simply applauded the brilliance.

I could really sit here till Monday and go on, but all in all, the lads played well, a better team beat us.

FAIR PLAY TO THE ARSENAL
JUSTICE FOR THE 96

 I totally agree with you, the team has been a joke through out this season, and that?s down to the lousy and idiot of manager like Houllier who has destroyed the team and the club respectively. His team selection is something of a joke, where, he has dropped the best defender which the club has in Hanchoz, and play another player out of his position like Biscan in central defence, who will never be a central defender if he try?s for the next 10 years.  Any team who concedes two goals within 80 seconds, and in manner the team conceded those two goals today when they were leading 1-2, does not deserve to be in the top five teams of the league.
Houllier has really lowered the standards of LFC, and I definitely say he is the worst manager LFC is ever had, despite of all the initial successes he had in few seasons ago, but he could not prove to be a top manager, he is a lousy tactician, can not handle top players with strong character, but the problem is not with him only, the Chairman and Board of directors should take most of the blame, they should have sacked him, at the end of last season where he failed to qualify for the Champion league!!!.

As for today?s game, Houllier, come up with some shitty comments, and praises for Arsenal, to tip them to win the league, well everyone knows they have won it few weeks ago, we don?t need to hear this kind of s##t, he is trying to over shadow his failure when his team were in control in wining way, halfway through the game and ended up been beating 4-2 comfortably. The team won 4-0 last week and this idiot has started criticize the press and the dissatisfied LFC?s fans, and you would think he has won the league!!!, this man is not real and he is a disgrace to LFC .

The fans should really start to ask for his head during home matches and put more pressure on the Board of directors to take the right decision and sack this useless idiotic manager at once, I do not think LFC will secure the fourth spot, the players have doubt in their mind about their manager, and their body language says a lot, even the few good players in the club, have no faith in some of their team mates who are not worthy of the team selection at any time.

Thank you.

Several games ago, when we looked at our remaining fixtures, did anybody really expect us to get anything out of Arsenal at Highbury?  (There were people doubting whether we could beat Portsmouth).  We can all be biased die hards, ever hopeful, but Arsenal are streets ahead of us.  This game will not cost us 4th place (God isn't it sad we are gunning for 4th).  The recent 2-2 draw with Leeds, 2-0 defeat to Southampton and 0-0 draw with Leicester will.  They are the disappointing recent results, not a defeat away at Arsenal.

Of our remaining fixtures, you would hope we could beat Charlton, Fulham and Boro at home, and also Birmingham away.  Man U and Newcastle?  Who knows.  Whether it will all be enough to finish 4th, is anybody's guess.  I think it is important that we do finish 4th though.  The possibility of CL football next season is something that may attract a new manager, because we all know (and I hope that includes the Liverpoool board) that Houllier has to go if the short and then long term future is to improve.

I mean the likes of Heskey, Smicer, Cheyrou, Diao, Luzi, Diouf & Biscan, them players arent fit to wear the shirt and the manager Houllier is a disgrace, fact is when we were in a mess back in 1998 we were nearer to winning the title than we are now

Its interesting that you wrote Heskey first.

Leave the man alone he doesn't deserve to be in the same sentence as Biscan or Diao.

Heskey wont leave and I dont want him to.

I'm taking Leon MC 0708's comments as the only true definitive assessment of the game today as it WASN'T on SKY so those that prefer or can't get to the games live and watch it on SKY let eh lad speak  :D He's made some valid points there and manged to get them across without being abusive or insulting to GH or the players nad for that man I commend you !!!! We ere beaten bya  superior ide today , they were better today , all seaosn and over the last 2/3 seasons for that matter so stop reacting to the result and using it as yet ANOTHER "Have a Go At GH Sessions" cos its getting tedious ???
