Last time I saw Fulham they had a lot of pace in wide areas, so the above might not be a good idea, but Rafa seems to keep it narrow.

We don't have the proper wingers to keep it wide

True.  I believe this is one reason why Chelski hammer teams with 4-5-1 and we don't.

As long as Cisse starts up front I will be happy. Also I hope rafa brings back Warnock to the Left back slot as I believe  he is much more solid a defender than either Riise or Traore. However have Riise on the left  :)

I think it should be:

--------------Reina
Josemi-----JC---SH----Warnock
----Sissoko-------Alonso----
Garcia-------Gerrard------Riise
-------------Cisse------------

I think fulham will pack the mf so we need 5 in there as well.

If that formation of yours breaks into a 4-2-3-1 then that would look potent especially with stevie g back in the side an djib on song!

Another big game for us this one.  In fact all our league games are pretty crucial right now as we need to get up that league and fast.  This is definitely winnable.  Fulham have played some good stuff at times but it should be a comfortable win for us.

Predicting Benitez's line-up is near impossible these days.  We know Finnan's out and not sure how fit Gerrard is, I suspect he'll be on the bench to start with.  I'd like to think Cisse will start up front in a 4-4-2 but I would't be surprised if we went back to 4-5-1 with either Crouch or even Morientes up top.

Here's the team I'd LIKE to see start (assuming Gerrard not fit enough to start):

                                Reina

Josemi          Carra              Hyypia             Warnock

Garcia         Sissoko            Alonso                Zenden

                 Crouch             Cisse

Wouldn't be surprised if Kewell got a run out again, but I'd rather he had a few reserve games first to get his fitness up

Come on John, I totally agree we should be strong enough to take the three points but comfortably??? When was the last time you saw us win comfortably?

As always it'll be a struggle. It's what makes being a red such fun!!

I suppose you're right Greedo

Although I did say 'should' be an easy win, not 'will be'

I think it depends how we set our stall out.  4-5-1 and we'll struggle, that's the formation they play and the 2 teams would cancel each other out.  We need to play 2 up front and Cisse has to be one of them

josemi-Carragher-Hyppia--Risse

I am thinking Kewell might get the nod, but I think that would also be a bad idea, he would probably have to get subbed off after 50 minutes, no point starting a certain substitution. Figure Liverpool will try and do a nock it down the pitch and nod it down to cisse sort of job, should prove effective, before Cisse hit his little streak he could have buried a bunch of chances with this system.

I heard on the radio before that Gerrard broke down in training this afternoon. There is nothing on the official website (suprise suprise) and there is nothing on other websites.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Is he fit or injured?
