Cisse,morro and crouch - Couldn't hit a barn door!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I'm talking in the premiership you tit, he is scoring in the champions league mostly in the quilifiers. Thats where his goals have come from. Kuijt is a much better player believe me,  his all round game pisses on cisse. The way kuijt plays this premiership is suited to him.

So-called supporters and I use the word loosely :p  seem to forget very quickly that for a striker to be on top of his game needs to be playing regularly and be full of confidence; which none of our strikers has at the moment and that is no fault of their own or in some cases the manager and this includes cisse.

MORIENTES: Has been regularly injured since his arrival and hasn't been able to string a run of consecutiv games together to establish himself in the team and acclimatise to the league.

CROUCH: Has only just arrived and is still adjusting to his new team mates and the different system that Rafa uses. Also been isolated too often through lack of midfield support.

CISSE: Possibly still finding his feet again after his leg break last season but the major factor is probably the Owen saga has greatly unsettled him although this would be ore down to the press than the club; also he has been played out of  position on too many occasions and needs to play more up front with a regular partner.

Supporter contains the word support so lets give the strikers exactly that SUPPORT and maybe just maybe they will soon start finding the onion bag a bit more frequently.   :buttrock

Also ab as for morientes he has had his day, he was once a prolific scorer. But we didn't get him at his peak same as with litmanan (Jari). We had him too late. Every team needs a prolific goal scorer or should i say big team, Man utd, Arsenal, Real madrid, Barcelona, They all have a prolific goal scorers who will get them 20 league goals. Do we the answer is NO. Not since Michael Owen left. This team requires a right attacking winger who has pace and skill, same with the left, and a new goal machine until then we will just get by with the odd win here and there.Thats my valid point!!!

thats what they said about kezmen when he joined chelsea... and look what happened, he struggled!!!! ???

im not saying that Kuyt wont be a success, but we can't judge any player until he comes and prove himself in the premiership.

Come on you know as well as me that until we provide a class right winger and a left one we will not be producing our best football. Mellor, Pongolle thats not going to get us back in the big time. We need class players like simao, joaquin, this calibre until then we will just be fighting it out with the likes of spurs, boro, newcastle, etc for that 4th place. You pay for quality, you get the rewards. Thats the way it is.

i think your right we need a right winger, but benitez can change something that can make our strikers score lots of goals.

Michael Owen has never scored 20 league goals and thats a fact. Other than Van Nistelrooy and Henry there haven't been strikers who have scored 20 goals in the league as of late.

Well said metalhead, i'm only trying to make my point, its not negative at all. I'm glad we won but to progress to the top we need to get more quality players.

Rafa is keen to stregthen his squad in january he knows he needs to get some quality players, but sometimes those quality players are really expensive, and you know we aren't chelsea, so we need to be patient and let rafa buy some good players. i would rather buy 3 good players in a total of 15m quid than buying only joaquin for 15m because as benitez said we need a right winger and a defender, so if we can get simao for about 12m quid and maybe upson for 5m, i'll be even happier!  :D

im happy with the squad we have right now because we do have depth and we only lost one game till now against the Champions of England
