Also Garcia could be brought in for Momo, which gives a more attacking 4-5-1.

That is a formation and line-up I would like to see. at least once.

This team below is looking quite good to me.

Joaquin                 Momo        Xabi             Kewell

Good formation but this one is for CL ..... We need 4-4-2 .....

Although we did miss some basic chances, 4-4-2 is the way forward...at least for the premiership.

4-4-2 is for attacking option and 4-4-1-1 is defending option ....

the 4411 formation is good but we need to vary the play a bit and maybe try it with moro or cisse as the lone striker. Baros did it quite well last year and was given little or no praise for it.

Crouch can plat this role too but the problem is that we go looking for the long ball far too often and we become predictable. If we could change our style so we had more flow to our movement then we could easily get around this stumbling block.

That 4-4-1-1 formation with joaquin and kewell looks class to me but what would be plan b cos we are hoping we get no injuries with that?

Don't expect us to sign Joaquin to be honest.

There is no way that Rafa will blow the whole budget on one player. He is not that kind of Manager, especially when we need a CB urgently as well.. ???

why other clubs can broke the bank to sign the player they need. thats mean we will always miss out 'world class' player when it was available. i agreed that we will not sign jaoquin next jan.

If i had a choice to spend around 15m on joaquin and he was the only player we brought in during january then i would be more than happy with that. A new centre back can wait in my eyes until end of season we can cope there with the players we have. But joaquin over simao anyday if the money is available spend it on joaquin.A right out and out right winger just what we need. Not simao left mid inside  right mid inside and probably not all that great, why would Barca release him.

i wouldnt want him to spend all the money on one player. no matter how good he is , how do we know he will adapt to playing in the prem i know alonso has managed to do it but they are different types of players. garcia hasnt lived up to it ( ill wait for the " he won us the champions league " comments ) neither has nando. lets not panic buy byblowing all our jan transfer money  and hope he is some kind of saviour if he available at a decent price then yeah sign him but dont break the bank to sign a player who could fail to live up to the hype

Are you off your head mate?
You started this thread by saying how sh.ite our forwards are and saying how desprately we need a 20 a season man...thats fine if its your opinion you are entitled to it.

But 3 pages later you want Raffa to spend all our budget on Joaquin....erm.. a winger, come Jan ???

WTF you smoking in the valleys....Whatever it is,stay the fu,ck off it fella. :nod

Hey mato, people started on the subject of joaquin again on this post, I was stating that if we had a choice of blowing 15m that we have available in jan and we had chance of joaquin for that then i would do it. Selling cisse and bringing in kuijt was a different matter.

Thats the problem we don't spend money big on world class players, use excuses what if they don't make it in this league to much of a gamble.Well ronaldino, ronaldo, vieri, etc they are all worth big money and world class players so would you worry if they would settle in the premiership if liverpool had a chance of getting one of them for 20m.No i bet you wouldn't joaquin is the same world class could play anywhere in the world liverpool could prob get him close to value of 20m, and no don't gamble all our money on one player, thats our problem we don't buy world class players, Arsenal,Madrid,Barcelona,Chelsea, juventus,Manutd, they do and unless we take this step we will never be a team consistently playing up there with the best.

Cisse is a good player, he has pace, a good shot and great mentality. Not many players could come back after an injury like his. He needs to improve his finishing but is easily the best striker at lfc. I would give him and pongolle a go as it could be the best option at the minute. Players must be picked on current form not what they did a year or two ago.

Give him a run of at least six matches PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
