Why do we never get the credit we deserve? - It's a joke.

I thought we definately shaded it last night. Sorry I can't go along with some of the lads on here who say we "outclassed" them and all, but we were definately the better team in my totally honest opinion. Are we as good a team as them? Probably not over the course of the season. Have we got as good a squad as them? Absolutely nowhere near to be fair.
So why is it when they are the invincibles, the best team in the country, the team that is so much better than everybody else that the season is already over and we can get the better of them that we don't get any credit in the media? That's three games now and counting since they've scored a goal against our defence. That's a defence containing the much maligned Djimi Traore. "It's 'cos we never had any width mate. Duff and Robben weren't on from the start, it would've been different then".
Well they were on from the start last night and where were they? Chelsea had a full strength team out and we more than matched them. Either the Hyppia penalty claim or the handball could easily have been given (once again I don't think either were stonewall penalties but both have been given many times) and I thought we deserved to win.
If Mourhinho is the "special one" what does that make Rafa then? Peter Crouch anyone? "Seven million mate, you're 'avin a laugh aint ya?" Makes Drogba at 24 mill' start to look a shade pricey if you ask me.

I never saw Liv play without wingers.....What happened. One thing for sure. Chelsea squad with full strenght  couldnt break our defence. I say Traore is very good. Roben or Duff couldnt penetrate him. Only when Traore moved up Roben pierced through and made 1 shot. And the other time I cross.

To my mind from all the matches Crouch ever played for Liv.... this is his best ever. He maintained posession well up front. Yet he failed to score. He lacks speed. He could head the crosses.

Luis Garcia.... He continues to make silly mistakes in such a crucial match.

Overall, I thougt Liv was okay. Tactially JM was :censored:. He would never thought of our formation. Their players confused and could score at all. In 2nd Half Chelsea had about 2-3 on target shots only

I got annoyed with the Ref. Real donkey. He gave a yellow for Xabi on his 1st mistake.... pulling shirt. Come on ...

Whereas Lampard deliberately stepped on Gerrard's foot get away with a warning. Lampard committed series of fouls. What is the Bas***d name Chavelio( how to spell) Chelsea defender. He committed more 5 fouls. Got 1 yellow after the 5th.

Gallas hand ball. So clear.... Ref ignore it. What an :censored:.

Great post Bigmick, though I must disagree on one point, I don't think we "just" shadded it, I thought we where at least 20% better than them.

I am also absolutely FED up of the media, along with many others not giving us credit where it's due....makes me feel absolutely SICK.

I thought Traore played really well, the header he lost to SWP was a joke and he is still prone to the odd mistake, but he was pretty solid last night and imo Robben who is a world class winger didn't get too much change out of him.
Andy Gray was really getting on my nerves on sky, he is so biased and was desperate for us to get beat, there was a time in the second half where one of the Chelsea midfielders had the ball on the right in our half, they tried to slip Robben in down the right wing and Traore cut it out, but Gray said why didnt he cross it in. Now imo there was disappointment in his voice. The man is biased and shouldnt be commentating on our games.
Carvalho like in the semi's gave away about 6 fouls...nothing really nasty but persistent and breaking down our attacks each time, he should of been booked without doubt.
They got the rub of the green again imo last night, and like big mick said we didnt murder them but we where the better side again.
Anyone who says Mourinho is the special one imo is a bit shortsighted, he doesn't know how to change his tactics in a game.
With better wide players, we would beat them, and i think we will Sunday anyway.

th elondon press and the blue nose commentating will never give lfc the credit they deserve. We did shade the game and i thought for all the money chelski have spent, they were poor. They are solid but are definately beatable.

Like carra said at the end of the game, this club does things with dignity and doesn't moan to the press or uefa. We dust ourselves down and get ready for sunday where we might get a bitof luck,

As I've said on another topic, the Reds get all the credit they deserve from a lot of football fans in Marseilles France where I live.
Both Marseilles and Liverpool have always had to suffer from an unfair treatment by the Capital city-biased media. And that may help create some sort of "brotherhood spirit" between our two cities...

I think the Chelsea players realised it for themselves, never mind the media. £260M was spent on a squad over the last 2 years that once again faild to create a goal at Anfield. I think we managed to disable Lampard and Essien effectivly, not only that but the money they spent and they still had to resort to foul tactics such as handballing ect.....If i was a Chelsea fan or player i would be quite confused right now, why? Becasue we have so much money but we still cant beat Liverpool. LOL. I admit i was a bit angry a penalty wasnt given but thats football, sometimes desicions go your way and sometimes they dont but i think we put a fright into them and showed them hat we are more than capable and lasts seasons end of table gap in points no way reflects the level of play. Mourinho can say what he likes but at the end of he night we deserved to win it. Im sure manyother football fans will agree that was a handball. I think perhaps on Sunday the same team should play, or maybe Morientes for Cisse. i think then for the first time Rafa will be able to play with his choice 11. With both Morientes and Sissoko playing and maybe Kewel to. Im looking forward to Sunday, i think the lads will go in with a lot more confidence but people talk about getting credit. Anyone who saw lasts night match knows in their heads that we got credit aspecially as we are the reigning champions. The media are always going to depict a negative view becasue is what they do. Its what creates headlines and stories. All in all im happy. :)

The Times gives liverpool a lot of credit for outplaying chelsea and says we clearly deserved the penalty and 3 points.

The thing to remember is that on Sunday its gonna be a different ref and we all know refs in the EPL are a lot stricter. And if we play our game how we playes yesterday then i think we once again have a good chance of winning.

Agree with Bigmick, I do think we were marginally the better side last night and we could quite easily have had 2 penalties go our way. I think if it had been a striker instead of Hyypia who was brought down in the box in the 1st half the ref would've given it, I got the impression that Hyypia's slow-ness made the ref think he fell over once the ball was beyond his reach

As for the media refusing to give us credit quite frankly I don't give a monkeys - they've been comically London-centric for years and we should all know by now not to listen to their amateuristic ramblings

If the media have got it in for Liverpool then that's just fine by me. It's a re-assuring feeling to be hated by a cunt

As for Andy "Game well and truly over" Gray, well what can I say? The first word that springs to mind is DICKSPLASH. Come to think of it the second word that springs to mind is also DICKSPLASH, and the third as well

Christ, he's almost as moronic as Drogba is talentless

shading a game of such magnitude would approximate to about 20%.

so your both right, although you didnt know it liverpool 4 eva.

woolly back is also right that if it had been cisse or crouch, or garcia who was felled in the box, then we wouldve been granted a penalty.

i thought the ref was average at best, afraid to make a worthwhile decision, including gallas' blatant handball, of which the ref said was accidental. Well, we could all argue that couldnt we.

The fact remains that Chelsea were lucky to come away with a point, that could so easily have been 3pts to lfc, plus a 2 goal win for us, providing that the ref had some balls and a spine, of which he had none.

i am not saying that chelsea didnt have their moments, but with drogba up front, they had little options. He is the ultimate mistake for chelsea millionaires, he is talentless and couldnt score in a brothel, if it were a free for all. Drogba looked out of sorts and fell down almost as easy as Klinsmann did when at spurs, plus, and get this, fained injury.

At times i thought someone had ripped his spine out and given him a double leg fracture for poor old drogba. What a drama queen that waster is

Anyway roll on Sunday and some more of what happened last night, but with justice and the rub of the green on our side

It's not all bad from the press this morning. The Express and the Times gave the Reds some credit for the performance and rightly pointed out that we spent most of the 2nd half camped in the chelsea half.

Most of the papers gave Traore a 4 or 5 this morning. Now i'm far from his biggest fan but i thought the lad had a good game (even showing a bit of ambition to go forward) last night. Duff and Robben were both had quiet games so for me credit should go to our full-backs. Maybe he looked better on the box than at the ground (Paul?)
