back to the real issues.

it has been reported by numerous folk, that MO is on his way back to liverpool. Indeed, if that conversation with Andy Owen is to be believed, then we can surely be happy with the imminent arrival of Owen. With the movement of Baros to Villa in the near future, one could argue that under the footy political screen, that MO is definately coming to Anfield.

I for one, believe he is on his way back to LFC. No smoke without fire.

However, some folk are trying to say that certain individuals at LFC dont want him. Well let me tell the doubters: its a smoke screen to divert attention, or create false info, so that LFC can do business without anyone knowing the full extent of the deal. that happens all the time in football, and LFC are not immune from that process

Chelsea, you would do well to remember that you have been welcomed by most as a guest on here. I myself have debated with you on a number of subjects and have it to be largely worthwhile (though you did quote me out of context once which was disappointing). I can't help but notice however that your posts are getting gradually more provocative. Your contributions on this particular thread do you no credit whatsoever and are gradually deteriorating in terms of readability.
Your frequent attempts to turn threads into a debate on all things Chelsea are starting to get a little tiresome (for instance this ridiculous idea about comparing the respective clubs progress every five games), particularly as most of the sensible members of the forum already feel that Chelsea will win the Prem. If they don't it certainly won't be us who beats them to it this year.
I like to think I'm a reasonably sensible debater on here, but like him or loathe him I have to take the Judges side on this issue. If you find it hard to get on with people on here, genuine Liverpool supporters on a Liverpool forum, there is of course a stunningly simple solution to the problem.
I wonder how long the celery brigade would tolerate me going onto their forum and turning every topic into all things Steven Gerrard. Not long I fancy.

In what way am I turning every thread into Chelsea?

The thought of a 5 game comparison was not to say “Yay we are 7 points ahead of you, or congratulations you are 7 points ahead of us” but it was to talk about the progress of the 2 teams as a whole, players fitness and performances and what the probabilities are of both teams winning something.

My contribution to the MO thread was just adding information that I found on the net, Rafa’s interview, Lyons interest and Madrid stating that several clubs are interested in him. I have always said that personally I would like Owen to return to Liverpool, even if that means 10 – 15 more goals and stiff competition for us, because (1) I think as a footballer he will be happy and (2) I love competition. But I have also strongly said that IMHO Rafa as a manager doesn’t have Owen in his plans and doesn’t want him.

Now if people think otherwise, then I am always here for a good debate with sensible reasoning. But when people (one member in particular) come back with “you will sink when Roman leaves, You are all about money, You don’t know shi.t so far.k off” then it isn’t me who is trying to turn the conversation on its ars.e .

Maybe from now on I will ignore such posters and only contribute my ideas, thoughts and feelings on players, teams and competitions. Those who present themselves equipped with reasoning and healthy debate will be shown the same respect by me. Others can say what they like as its their forum, I only wont respond.

pps - You are welcome to visit a Chelsea forum anytime you like, we treat our visitors with a lot of respect and as long as they are decent we invite them and their thougts with open arms and a clean heart.

Who are you to judge what a player can or can;t win, he won it with us, OUR club, end of story. I know its not a huge status, but christ, its a cup or shield for that matter.

i think what Judge means in reference to Roman's millions is that without that investment there would be no reason you (CF) would even bother coming on this forum to discuss the latest FA Cup or League Cup success Chelsea would have achieved without spending the £200million odd in the last 2-3 years

its well known that Liverpool fans are amongst the most knowledgable in the game but this forum is not just about knowledge but also about being a fan and having the raw passion to express your views whether they are full of pearls of wisdom or not. having been to stamford bridge a few times in the last 2 years what is clear is the Chelsea fan base generally lack both knowledge and certainly passion, sorry to say it but i think that is the truth.

One final point CF - you ask for debate but all you do is post (in this thread anyway) random rumours - that type of post does not lead to debate. lets debate the pros and cons of why MO would or would not return to Liverpool, whether Liverpool management want him, or what other options may be open to him etc.

i've nothing against the shield or the supercup btw. that bloke's terribly wrong when he said owen won nothing with pool. but i still do think we should never mention the charity shield in our list of 'titles', it just a belittlement of our ambitions and status. u never (at least i never) hear a.ferguson bragging about charity shields.. and we should at least match that in spirit. we're the biggest club in england with the most leagues titles afterall.

being fair to chelsea forever you do get worse fans from other clubs on here just writing abusive cr@p but he does try to hold a disscussion.
i think this owen things touched a raw nerve though, its almost like he`s in denial or repeating old quotes to reassure himself that owens not coming back.
dont forget chelsea forever, real madrid stated that under no circumstances were they interested in signing beckham and look what happened.
at the end of the day the players have the final say where they go these days, even if other clubs offer more, just look at kewell, we got him when others were offering a lot more but he had his heart set on a move here.

There is just this impression that you've nothing to talk about on your own site other than "who are we going to buy next" and that this lack of depth comes from the obvious lack of tradition.
There can be no debate that Roman has damaged the Premiership for ever in order to satisfy his ego and that the inflation he has introduced could be fatal to the game in the long run. This is nothing to be proud of. I only wish a few of the posters on this site had seen the youngsters brought on by Tommy Docherty - that was a GREAT British team and a pleasure to watch, nothing to do with todays guns for hire.
I think that it would be highly unlikely that you would pick something up from the Net that is not already known by some of us, so why bother ?
