i was having a banter with a everton fan the other day and was argueing how lampard is better than gerrard and how shrek was the best england player and a question came up if everybody is fully fit who would be the first name on the teamsheet next world cup. Has to be Gerrard is the most influential player. Also another question i read this article saying who would be your captain next summer,would it be Gerrard who inspired lfc to european glory who has a heart for football or Beckham a ponse who talks like joe pasquale. Who would you want to lead your country out next summer obviously gerrard, you can also put a bet on this for 7/1

England have a realistic chance of winning it in my view. The "who would be the first name down on the teamsheet" thing doesn't much apply to the England set-up as at least 9 of the 11 are certainties to start if fit. in terms of most important player it's debatable, but the one player we have whom there is absolutely no replacement for is Rooney. If he doesn't play, England have no chance it's as simple as that.
