Mourinho - Would he replace kenny in the summer?

International Football/Football World Wide - General Discussion

There is a strong feeling that if Mourinho could win La Liga at Real Madrid this season he may look to move on again.
He has gone on record and said that he intends to come back to England to manage again at some point and settle here for many years.

Therefore if he did want to come to England this summer, which club would be in for him?
Obviously most clubs would probably want him but he would only realistically go for one of our top 6 clubs.
However which one of those 6 clubs are in a position to go for him:-

Man Utd - Don't think Fergie is going anywhere for a couple of seasons at least.
Man City - I think they will stick with Mancini, especially if he wins the league.
Tottenham - Maybe a possibilty if Harry goes to England.
Chelsea - Would Roman have him back? doubtful.
Arsenal - I think Wenger will still be there even though he is under some pressure.

So the question is to Liverpool fans:-
If he was available in the summer, should the owners move Kenny on and get Jose in?

Hah.

This seems a really daft thing to speculate on.

Mourinho is probably considered to be the best manager around at the moment, a born winner.
If he wins La Liga that only confirms this notion.

So if the best manager in the world was available, I thought it was quite a fair question to ask

Understood, but we already have a manager  :)

That said, if we didn't already have Kenny it would be an interesting idea. But Maureen isn't particulary loved by most Liverpool fans. The guy really is a tw@tt and i'm pretty sure he'd never fit in with us.

No way!!!  I explained this in another thread... Jose is only good for achieving short term success for his own ego and then f.ucking off.  Look at the mess he has left clubs like Chelsea and Inter in.

He spends big big money on players in or just after their primes and then leaves after a season or two for his next task.  His teams are always negative and he'll cheat in any way to win.

This thread is a bit disrecpectful to a Liverpool legend and our current manager - Kenny Dalglish.  The guy that just got us to our first final in 5 years.

He will go to Spurs when Harry goes to prison
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

We dont have unlimited funds for him to spend

End of discussion.

P.S. We already have a manager who has won the Title in England more times than him so why would we want to downgrade .

1. Maybe if last year you'd asked "Should Mourinho replace Hodgson you might have got a positive response but asking if he should replace a Liverpool icon who's only a year back in the job smacks of a total lack of understanding and affinity with LFC's soul.

2. Fu'ck off.

I'm going to go against the grain here. If it transpires that Kenny steps aside, then yes I would have him. I can't think of anyone else right now in world football who is proven at home and in europe and knows how to win. My preference would of course be to have Rafa back but if it wasn't him then i'd have Mourinho. But I suspect Kenny will get another year here.

His 1st season back and a final at Wembley. Give him some more time... and money.

Don't think thats going against the grain Tubbs.

Kenny stepping aside of his own volition and the owners moving Kenny on in order to install Maureen are two very different situations.
