Baros to everton?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Well it finally looks like Moyes is getting desperate. I don't mean that Baros is a bad player and I do like him, but I think Moyes is desperate because out of all the clubs, in all the world from La Liga to the J-League, from Serie C to the Welsh Premier, from the MLS to the Scottish Prem, from the brand New A-League to the third division of Guatamala, he can't find a single player who wants to but on that dirty blue shirt, so he's resorted to asking for the impossible. Surely these closer resemble the dying acts of a desperate man, more than they resemble the actions of a proud leader venturing forth into Europe. He has to come crawling to us, and I'm pretty sure we will tell him where to go. The day Baros goes Blue, will be the day that Bacon-Aeronautics' stock price soars!

Rumour has it that Moyes has been turned down so many times he's had to resort to signing subutteo players.

How is that bitter? I just don't like your shirt. Mind you, if any one was an expert on being bitter...

Unless Everton pull off some sort of miracle and beat Villareal then their season is over.

Moyes had them all playing well above themselves last season, and you have to credit him for that.  What's more, they did it by pure graft, they were extremely fit and well organised all season, very disciplined.  However, if that same squad of players fails to get into the champions league after all that effort last season, they will be mentally broken.  Moyes is no magician and I think even a skilled motivator like himself would struggle to lift the squad.

Last season was as high as they are probably going to finish in a long time, and if that isn't even enough to get them to the champ lge group stage then where's the motivation for them this season??  I would be very worried if I was an Everton fan right now, your whole season could hinge on that Villareal game.  I can see them struggling at the wrong end of the table this time round to be honest.

I thought Moyes confirmed that Baros is one of the players on his list.

If Everton beat Villareal then the CL will drain their players out. If Everton lose to Villareal then the UEFA cup will drain their players out.

They also don't have enough depth, they haven't signed enough players to cover their key players. I would be surprised if they made it in the top 10

Thats not a bad shout,

But if Everton go seriously down the tubes this season then so will Moyes's reputation and he could struggle to get a big job for a while.  Celtic are never short of options when the manager's post is available

moyes used to play for celtic. the club is in his heart. if the choice came and he had to decide between his heart and his head, his heart would say celtic and his head would say... er celtic.  :D

You're probably right.  I've been living up in Scotland for a few years and they do think highly of Moyes at Celtic, his name was branded about when O'Neill stepped down last year.
