Press Association reporting that Baros, after speaking to his advisors, has given the green light for negotiations with Everton to begin.

I have no doubt that Baros will be a better player this season not only for the experience on the pitch, but also for the criticism he received from both outsiders and fans a like. We mustn’t forget that last year was his first proper season in the Premiership.

Saying all that I still think it would be wise to sell him, he wants guaranteed first team football and to be honest he isn’t good enough to play first team football at a club that has medium or short term aspirations to win the Premiership.

A 7Mil fee will do nicely, and a big thank you for all your efforts, he always gave 100% effort.

i'd say thats a little harsh. he knows, despite benitez's words to the contrary, that the club are looking too ship him out asap, so he's going to be looking at any club which, in his eyes, will offer him a decent profile and stage to play on. i'm sure he would'nt get paid any more there than here, maybe even less.

It's not harsh by any means, it's a shame a Liverpool player is even considering moving to Everton.

I seriously believe that we could come to regret it, should we sell him to Neverton.... I hope some non-english club gets alerted and snap him away from under their noses (here's hoping, as it definetily wouldn't be the first time this summer):p

Then I'd have no problem with it either :D  I just wouldn't surprise me if he came back to haunt us and put one in against us, but hey if Owen puts 3 in at the other end, who gives a feck?!

Btw: don't think Owen will be coming back though, but that's a whole other topic!

I can't believe liverpool buy crouch for 6 or 7 and are then willing to sell Baros for 6 or 7.  They are not on the same level.(Baros is better if there were any doubts)

I actually hope Baros goes to Everton as he is a good player.  Don't get me wrong, i don't like them, but Moyes has gained my respect, and doesn't deserve to be rejected by every single player.

Yes he does! 'cause it's funny :D  (and it just keeps getting funnier and funnier each time another player rejects him)

Nobody is going to pay anything more than 7 million because Baros has only two years left on his contract and his price has decreased to to his poor season.

I would agree with you if Liverpool had interest in Baros. As it doesn't, and as we seem to be willing to sell Baros to anyone who offers enough dough, and even encourage Baros to seek himself a new employer, why would you blame Baros for wanting to go that stinkhole, if Rafa isn't beyond approving such a sale. From what I have read, money is the big issue for Rafa. If, and only if, Rafa has no problem selling Baros to Everton, something I am personally against as that is something one simply doesn't do, why is Baros then the bad guy, hm?

We haven't agreed anything with Everton, it's Baros that has given his agent the green light to speak with Everton not the club.
