Be happy SS , we're getting Crouch instead and he's only costing (reportedly) between 7 - 10 million pounds .

owen never wanted to leave madrid? that to me is the statement of a player who has suddenly realised no one wants him at the asking price and its dawned on him he has to stay. funny how that comes out when liverpool go for crouch, he wasnt exactly rushing around to dispel the rumours that linked him with a return to us.

If Rafa thinks we dont need him that is good enough for me and it should be good enough for you .

Although Owen has reportedly said he hasn't been looking to move away from Madrid ,it was intersting to hear Phil Thompson say on Sky last night that "Liverpool's signing of Crouch is a big blow to Michael (Owen) " he further observed that Owen is not happy sitting on the bench and a move back to LFC was very much on if we had wanted it .
Ah well , deffo time to move on now and get behind the Crouch  :D

  I seriously dont know how I feel about this Crouch transfer woof.
I mean I wont be suprised if he goes on loan in 2 seasons, or gets sold for 2 million after 3 seasons, I hope I am worng but Harry was saying last night, he was worth 700k last season and within 16 games someone was willing to pay 7 million for him  :sniffle
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I think a lot of us have similar sentiments Ciggy ,but the bottom line is he's one of ours now so I guess we have to get behind him and see what the lad can do for us . Get the feeling he might have nutted one or two of Zendens crosses in if he'd been playing last night .

I see Mr Owen has been again linked with manure but this time 12 mil pricetag. I reckon we should have gone in for him you know. The price tag on him is not as much as expected either.

Well i wanted Owen we got Crouch.

Crouch cost £7m and Owen was sold for £8m.

Crouch isn't the worst striker in the world. He's also not one of the top 10 in the league. Let alone the world.

Very annoyed with Rafa Benitez and i hope to high heaven he knows what he's doing. In europe, untouchable, in the premier league, unacceptable.

I agree but goal wise he was in the top ten last season.
