He thought he could use our lack of success as an excuse but that was blown away at Ataturk so what's the excuse now heh?

I believe in time we will see this as a blessing in disguise as Rafa's team are never about just one man anyway...walk on

I've been surprised a little with the vitriol directed at SG, though I understand the feelings that lead to it.

It seems to me if he goes to Chelsea he is mainly after money, but lets face it, he's more likely to win the prem next year in blue than red... Still, that will be hard to swallow.

If he goes to Madrid - well, I'll feel better about his decision - he will be testing himself in a different league, maybe learning different skills, taking an opportunity to experience a different culture... I always thought good on Owen for the decision he made, though he stabbed us by doing it so late.

How do I feel? I think I'll sleep soundly tonight, knowing that i can stop wondering. Or maybe I'll be up all night thinking about all the options for who Rafa can get to replace him...

Hey guys, let's hope he goes to Madrid.

If he goes to Chelsea or man USA it'll be really difficult for him and us when he plays against us. If he scores a goal at anfield and runs past the kop sticking two fingers up or summat I'll be on telly. I'll be the one that jumps onto the pitch and punches his bstd lights out.

See CGGY this is one of reasons its probably not a good idea having so many local lads in the team. Because when they move on its break your heart a helluv lot more then when we lose some foreigner.

I cannot smile Laza, I cried and cried yesterday, I cried today now that heartache has turned to anger, how someone could do this to there boyhood club, it leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth about him.
Ive just ripped the posters down of him in the bedroom they are in the bin, I will not be able to watch that final again for months. I could have accepted this if he said before the final win or loose Im off, but he didnt, he lied, and thats what Im hurt about.
How can I leave on a night like this

Itl take a bit of getting used to but well soon forget why we were even cursing in the first place. I know they will buy more players but now i hope that will bring in maybe Ballack or Aimar or maybe some South American wizzkid Rafa has up his sleeve

Gerrard has been an embarassment to this club for 12 months now. His loss may or may not make the football side better or worse; that's debatable and only time will tell, but getting rid of his stench will improve us morally as a club without a doubt.

Gerrard has led us a merry and dishonest dance for a year. His claim to want to win trophies has been shown to be a joke after 25/5/5. His laughable attempt to claim a bust up with benitez and that the club dragged their feet over a contract was shown to be pathetic by one sentence by Benitez ('we tried to talk three times last year..'). And he prances around looking for in advance of £100k a week whilst most ordinary men and women wont earn that in 5 years and a committed red lies in a Bulgarian jail.

We wont miss his constant undermining of the team, we wont miss his miserable gob in interviews and we wont miss the 'will he, wont he' speculation that has blighted all our long term planning.

'We all dream of a team of Carraghers' is not just about the heart and soul Jamie gives us, it is a desire to a return of more honest and moral footballers who, whilst deservedly well paid, are there not for the money but the glory, the team and the pride.

Gerrard has lost all of these qualities with his selfish actions in the last year. I wish him nothing because that's all he deserves. He'll never be a Liverpool great, he'll never be anything now. :angry:

some "fans" reacted to the news angrily, some shouted his/her mouth off, some will hate Stevie for the rest of their life...and then some are so traumatised they put in a idiotic comments like the good ole doctor here and refuse to accept reality. :help
